"Mike Partlow surpassed all expectations. The cost of his services was considerably less than that of another contractor, who also gave us an estimate, and his plan was much less invasive. Mike, though he traveled a distance to get to our home, was punctual. He was neat, efficient, and thoroughly explained everything he was doing. Because I tend to worry a lot I had many questions along the way. Mike's patience never ran out. We were in constant contact by email until all my questions were answered. We hired Mike to treat mold in our house. Not only did he do that but he came back another day to give a second treatment. He suggested, with good reason, that the bathroom fans should not be vented into the attic and that the ventilation in the attic needed to be improved. We agreed to have him vent the two bathroom fans to the outside, and to install a fan to better vent the attic. Mike did all the work with great speed, with minimum inconvenience to us, explaining everything all along."

"If you are looking for a true expert and absolute perfection in anything having to do with mold, look no further than David Silver. This man is like a walking encyclopedia on the topic. He can tell you about every single type of mold inside and out and answer any questions you may have in the most thorough detail. We hired David to do a mold inspection on the house that we have been renting since March. Since we moved in, my 1.5 year old son and 3.5 year old daughter. And my husband and I kept getting sick and no one was getting better. Both kids had high fevers, respiratory issues, sinus issues, were sleepy, diarrhea, etc. Both were at the doctor several times, both were in the emergency room, both were on antibiotics, but no one was getting better. As a mother I knew something more was going on. I started asking around and some people suggested mold. Of course my husband thought I was crazy. But something had to be done. I posted the job and David Silver got in touch with me Right away and I believe he did the inspection that week. Within a day or two he sent me a full detailed report with pictures, and also went over it with my husband and I. ( I already knew I was right- mothers intuition) - there was in fact more mold inside the house than outside !!! Big problem!! We hired a remediation company and had to stay in a hotel for about 9 days. David came ASAP to do the clearance. He overnighted the results so we could get back to living our lives as soon as possible. But, sadly David found more mold. If there is mold in your house, David Silver WILL find it. So the remediation team came in again, and next week at 9 am David will be here to do another clearance. I’m sure he will be here before 9 because he is more than punctual! I’m so glad that I was lucky enough to meet David because not only is he an absolute expert at what he does, but he is an all around wonderful person!!!"

"It went well. They came out right away when they said they were going to come out. The professionalism of the person that came out was excellent. There was a lot of follow-up. The quote was about $4000. It was fine; I had no problem. We did not use them because it was not as bad as they were saying as it was already demoed at that point. At that point, the ceiling had already been open and everything was exposed underneath. Basically, it was just the carpet that needed to be removed. When I called them on the phone, it was supposed to be less. If the demo work was done by us, then the quote should have been cut in half. But for whatever reason, they still quoted the same. They basically came out in person and most of the work was done. It hadn’t really penetrated. It was more of a mildew issue. We had opened the ceiling and taken out the sheetrock. We had personally removed sheetrock as well as insulation, so we can actually see the studs, which were not affected. That's why I had a second opinion. It wasn’t necessary to go with a full-blown remediation. Basically we just had to remove the damaged area like carpet, sheetrock and the insulation. I borrowed a dehumidifier, so we took care of it ourselves."

"Tim did a great job prepping the surfaces, thoroughly cleaning and rinsing where appropriate and sanding the corrosion areas. He then applied primer and two coats of specialty paint to the surfaces. We appreciate his attention to detail, such as lightly caulking areas where there were small gaps between surfaces. We are very pleased with the job and will not hesitate using him again or recommending him to others."

"House: Mid 1800s farmhouse, approximately 4000 square feet Inspection Components: General home inspection, plus termite, radon, well water, and septic tests Time to complete: approximately 3 hours. Inspection report was provided the same day and other tests came in a week and a half later. Inspector (Chuck): Was responsive and and accommodating for scheduling the inspection. He arrived early on the day of inspection to begin his prep work. Chuck took his time to explain the inspection process and walk us through each part of the home. He gave us detailed overviews of similar homes and potential issues, then explained how this home compared. He also helped explain how the mechanics of the house work and how to operate components of it effectively. Quality: As far as we can tell, Chuck's inspection was very thorough. He pointed out a number of issues and look his time to triage and assess potential problems. His equipment is top notch, and includes a drone for roof shots and a thermal camera for assessing the heating system and finding heat leaks. He collaborated well with a second septic inspector we had on site and even found a minor plumbing leak in the basement that had previously been undetected. Value: For the size of this home and quality of his service, Chuck was a great value. His price includes a discount for finding him via Angie's List. Summary: I recommend Chuck based on his service. Chuck arrived early, was detail oriented, and provided a high quality report. Other reviews on Angie's List seem to be accurate reflections of his work. I did have to send him a reminder e-mail to get our well and radon results although Chuck responded back with the results very quickly. This was around the holidays so, considering, that minor delay was understandable and not a big deal."
