"Bridges Construction did a wonderful job remodeling the master bathroom. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable...they have obviously completed many remodels. They were professional, courteous, and paid attention to the small details. Communication throughout the job was good. I would definitely recommend them."

"I am so happy with the job J. Millett has done on our bathroom remodel. He has taken special attention to every detail I want to be just right. His crew has always shown up on time, they've been very courteous, and kept the work area and walking in an out of the house clean and protected from messes and debris. Everyone has been friendly and very knowledgeable at their job position. Everything happened in a timely manner and the end result is better than I imagined. I referred J. Millett to my parents for their future remodels and will continue to refer him to anyone I hear looking for a top notch contractor. I am beyond pleased with the job he has done. And he's such a great guy to top it off. Its been a joy working with him and his crew. My kids have enjoyed watching the guys working and they have all been great at explaining to my 5 year what and why they are doing it and what each tool is for. Remodels can be stressful, but my experience was anything but that. It was really great to see the end outcome, it turned out beautiful! And it was a joy working with Joe and his crew. I highly recommend J. Millett Construction."

"I highly recommend Alberto and Junior, who remodeled my bathroom. Everything was done well and in a timely manner. The only one that held up the the project for a short time was me, trying to decide which toilet to choose. The results were just what I I had imagined. A definite thumbs up!!"

"Both projects were quality work! We were very happy with the first project - It's amazing how well they were able to match the wood on the new kitchen island with the existing cabinet color. It looks great and gives us the open-concept we were wanting. Our large addition is the envy of the block! It doesn't look like an addition as many do. Everything matches perfectly. You'd never know the whole house wasn't built all at once. We LOVE the interior which includes a new master bedroom, bath, game room and den. It's beautifully done. Scott and his team are professional, leave the house orderly when they finish for the day and make sure that we have exactly what we want. One of the things I like best is that they are very good about staying in contact. That's super-important to me! Another truly important fact is that Scott doesn't waste our money. He's very good about making sure we get what we want but is always quick to suggest ways that we might be able to save a buck or two. I will never hire anyone else to do remodeling/construction work in our home. Ceto Builders is friendly, fair, timely and responsive."

"<p>The bathroom shower repair was under budget due to the shower door leaking.  They repaired the missing grout in the shower and recaulked the shower door.  They repaired shower adjacent wall and trim.  They removed wall paper, washed the wall, primed and painted the bathroom walls.  They cleaned up after the job was finished. They did an excellent job, they were professional, and they were honest.  I will use them again.</p> <br />"

FAQs for basement remodeling projects in Incline Village, NV

Finishing a basement turns unused square footage into livable space and returns up to 70% of what you spend when you sell your home. Beyond that resale boost, you gain a playroom, home office, or guest suite you can start enjoying right away. That mix of daily comfort and solid return on investment (ROI) makes basement finishing one of the smartest upgrades you can tackle.

In some parts of the country—especially lots on swamps, high water tables, or other wetlands—local codes prohibit basements. Saturated soil puts constant pressure on foundation walls and lets water seep in faster than any sump pump can handle.

If your property sits on waterlogged ground, building on a slab or crawl space is often safer, more affordable, and code-compliant.

Most basements wrap up in four to eight weeks. Framing takes three to five days, with electrical and plumbing rough-ins following over the next week. Add five days for drywall, two to three for flooring, and another week for paint, trim, and punch-list items.

Delays can happen if materials run late or your contractor’s calendar is packed, so build in a little cushion when you plan.

Whether a finished basement counts toward your home’s official square footage depends on local rules. Many areas only include below-grade space if it has code-approved egress, fully finished walls, ceilings, and floors, plus consistent heating.

Check with your local assessor or building department before you start; meeting those standards can affect taxes, appraisals, and resale value.

Building codes require a checklist: dedicated heat and electrical service, a code-approved stairway, and at least one egress window or exterior door. Walls, ceilings, and floors must be fully finished and meet insulation, ventilation, and fire-separation standards. If you add a bedroom, you’ll also need a closet, proper clearances, and safe exits. If you change the layout later, be ready to update the space so every new room still meets today’s code.
