"John was very helpful in showing us all the aspects of our sprinkler system. He informed us of necessary servicing needed, as well as parts that will likely need to be replaced soon, and ways to do things ourselves. He was great to work with!"

"<p>Scott is exceptional, we used him several years ago at another home to install tile in family room, three baths and a laundry room as well as demo and install new toilets, cabinets, a bath tub, some plumbing, etc.  As other reviewers have said, he is a perfectionist and all of his work is of the highest quality, well thought out, installed and finished.  We cannot say enough positive things about Scott, his honesty, professionalism and high-quality, long lasting work!  We have two or three other projects to do and plan to use Scott again for this work.</p> <p><br></p>"

"Daniel is the kind of contractor you want. He is straightforward, honest, and will do what he says he will do. He has had wide ranging experience from earth work, retaining walls, erosion control, and others that give him a breadth of knowledge to bring value to a project. I would recommend him."

"Working with Joey and his family was a pleasure from start to finish.  Professional, thrifty and fun to work with we enjoyed every day of the several weeks he spent working on our project. Throughout the entire time he listened and collaborated with us to create a design which upon completion looked as if it was original to the 100 year old home.   <b></b>Joey's passion for brickwork, creativity, attention to detail and workmanship are unmatched. You may have to wait to get onto his schedule but if aesthetics are a primary concern it is absolutely worth the wait. "

"It was time to remodel our 25-year old bathroom. We saw a high-end home in the Summit County Parade of Homes that had a beautiful bathroom that was covered floor to ceiling in honey onyx with a honey onyx vanity top. The vanity had lights below to show off the fabulous stone. That was the look we were after. <br /> Denver Marble helped us with the stone design and lighting options. They coordinated the purchase of the light panel, which came from Canada, and the cutting of the onyx slab. Rise, salesrep at Denver Marble, was terrific to work with. Once we found the slab we wanted, she helped us decide what part of the slab would best show off the stone. The LED backlight panel cost about $700 plus $300 for shipping, expensive but outstanding. It was critical to have the stone and light panel patch exactly as there were no second chances with this design. The mitered edge give the stone a wonderful finish. <br /> Rise kept us informed during the process and we are thrilled with the final installation. <br /> Denver Marble was competitively priced and provided excellent customer service. I will definitely use them for future jobs. <br />"

"The sales team at Brekhus is very responsive and easy to work with. They worked with us on some hiccups on our end and were always helpful and available. The crew members who came to template and install were punctual, communicative, and professional. Installation went smoothly and the countertops are beautiful. Brekhus stood out from other countertop places we inquired with due to their prompt and professional customer service and they beat competitors on price too. I'm glad we chose Brekhus."

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Indian Hills, CO

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
