"The appointment was made via messaging on the Angie's List, very conenienlly for me, for about a week later. Scheduler let me know about the the specials and gave me an idea on total cost. The technition, Gidon, called me about a half hour before he arrived (well within the window quoted me) and arrived on site. He quickly assessed the doors and the repairs and went to work. He was very personable and worked fast. He gave me an overview of the openers and the door repairs that had been done in the past (one opener is 20+ years old and lacks modern safety equipment. "My primary complaint is cost and not service. The service provided was very good. Precision Garage Doors were able to come out promptly on the next day (Saturday) after I called them at 4pm on a Friday. The technician replaced the torsion springs and even repaired a few minor items on our garage doors at no additional charge. The technician was friendly and seemed knowledgeable. That being said, the price that they charged for the torsion spring parts. The labor charges seemed reasonable, but they wanted to charge $250 for *each* torsion spring. I could not find online anywhere where a torsion spring cost more than about half of that ($125). When asked why these torsion springs cost so much, the technician was sort of vague. In following up with the company, I generally got the run-around. They could not provide the manufacturer's part number, and the manufacturer that they use only sells wholesale and will not disclose the price that they charge. No one could really justify the outrageous price that they were charging for the parts, but I needed my garage door fixed as soon as possible, and I didn't have time that weekend to fix it myself due to other obligations. Overall, if you want the problem fixed promptly and properly, and don't mind spending a lot of money, then Precision Garage Doors will do the job for you. If you are handy enough to install torsion springs yourself, you would save a ton of money."

"Jeremy was very responsive to the initial phone calls. Scheduled an in home consult quickly and gave a thorough presentation of their systems and capabilities. We scheduled the install a few days later for our system. Larry was helpful and professional. We has a couple of hiccups, which were resolved. We also decided to add security cameras and has a little trouble scheduling that install. Once installed all is working well. We’re very happy with the products and service."

"The deadbolt lock on our front door had gotten stuck in a locked position, requiring us to have to enter our house through our side door, which was inconvenient, so I was very happy when I contacted Tivoli Locksmith, that Joseph, the owner, was able to come right over to look at it. He was very pleasant and did a good job, but I was surprised when he told me the cost to replace the deadbolt lock would be $250, but he would do it for $50 less. I thought this seemed too costly, but he said that this was the going rate these days for a locksmith to do this work, so I let him do it. However,I still believe that this was excessively high, and in hindsight, I wish I had gotten at least one other estimate first."
