"Punctual, friendly, hard-working, and fast. We needed our gravel driveway paved and Saul and crew did an outstanding job. within about five hours they did our entire driveway from beginning to end. Looks great, I can't wait to park on it. Professional and skilled I would invite this crew to work for me anytime. Absolutely five stars."

"David Coulter has got to be among the very best contractors I've hired. He's polite, good-natured, knows what he can (and cannot) do, and is exacting in his work -- a far cry from the slipshod, rush-through-the-job typical contractors of today. His drywall work is flawless: he 's quite possibly the best drywall man available in central Florida. I had him perform a range of tasks and he nailed them all. And he works well with others. I would have no reservations about recommending this guy to members of my own family. Kudos, David. <br />"

"Matt's response was swift. He came and assessed the work that needed to be done and gave what we found to be a fair estimate. Shortly after returning to his office he called back to inform us that he would lower the price because he found that he had a dumpster available for the rubble. As it was a relatively small project he brought an additional worker. Before starting the demolition they searched along the perimeter of the concrete for the presence of lines or pipes. After ascertaining that it was clear they proceeded to cut the concrete into smaller blocks in a professional and efficient manner. No cracks were created in the concrete that remained . They cleared the area of all debris and left it looking nice and clean. They even graciously consented to remove some broken stepping stones that were in the backyard. We were very impressed with their workmanship and the cleanly cut edges of the concrete. Now the landscaper can proceed to putting in sod as there was no appreciable delay because of the quick response. We will have a backyard to be proud of."

"email initiated contact - prompt response from representative who quoted cost - used google earth to determine roof size - when i agreed to price, an appt was scheduled to do cleaning - the following week the two workers called ahead to let me know what time they would arrive - they arrived promptly - they reminded me to close windows - they quickly went to work - the roof after being cleaned with low pressure water and the green cleaning agent - there was no need to cover our outdoor plants = they then applied the protectant to the roof - even more amazing they cleaned up after thet were done"

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Inglis, FL

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
