"Heidi arrived on time, was professional in her demeanor, answered all of my questions, and discussed every aspect of what she would do.  Since then TruGreen has called me twice to see if everything was and is satisfactory.  They also sent me a survey yesterday via email that asked me to rate my experience.  My lawn both front and back look fantastic. Not one weed!  I would highly recommend Heidi and TruGreen. <br />"

"Well. 1st plumber who looked at the system said shower valves needed to be replaced but that was a problem because there are no access panels. Chaub plummer advised valves were good quality and there was no need to replace. He replaced/installed new hardware and did a great job in a timely manner."

"They were terrific. I don't have a dislike with them. The owner is Ken. He hires good people. They are very respectful and hard working. They don't smoke or curse, which was nice.  They show up and do the job. They asked me to look at it to be sure I was all right with it. They would tweak anything I asked them to tweak. They were great. I've already set up to use them next year. They will be my go-to company for work in my yard. It was a huge job. They created a pond and reworked my entire sprinkler system. They planted a couple of things and they laid down pavers. They just do about anything in a yard. They do work for the city in the parks so they are pretty broad reaching."

"At this point, the paver work has been completed to our immense satisfaction. This included removing an existing exposed aggregate patio, and building a new paver patio with walkways.  (Eventually, we will have lots of stuff done by the same folks and we will try to report on it as it goes along.)   Work was done timely, crew was good to work with, and it was apparent that they were focused on doing the best job that they knew how.  There was a little bit of a timing conflict between Summerco and another contractor we had working on another phase of the project, but we found Summerco acted professional and reasonable all of the time.  The only real minor negative (and this was more my concern than my wife's) was that in early conversations, it didn't always sound that they knew what they were doing, and that everything was new to them.  While this was annoying to me in the early phases, it was clear from the work that they performed that they knew their stuff.  We have already had compliments from other trade people involved on other phases of the project about the quality of the paver work.  We are very pleased. <br /> As near as we could tell from quotes we got from other contractors (which is hard to evaluate, since all of the quotes came in a bit different in format, etc.) Summerco's prices were in line.  However, based on discussions with suppliers and others both in and outside of the area, they seemed a little high.  So, we've concluded that at this phase of the local market, landscaping contractors are a little on the high side.  Not a big problem. <br />"

"He does all kind of lawn work like tree spraying, fertilizers, and so forth. I do only the fertilization and not the bug control. I like him; he is honest. He does mine and my mother's yard; sometimes he does two for one. He comes out every month. He does not come in the winter but he writes me notes about coming in the spring. His son-in-law used to own the business. I paid him for the whole year because he said he was broke and asked if I could pay him upfront; and he did not show up after that. I was kind of disappointed to say the least, so I fired him. Later, he said his dad took over both of them and I exchanged phone numbers with them again but they did not come out and finally their secretary came in and worked things out. We patched it up and we are together again."

"This happened several years ago so I may not be 100% accurate on dates.  We have a large yard and used weed man for our private residence as well as a rental property.  The office staff is amazing and that is why I gave professionalism an A.  The first time we used them was to blow out our sprinklers in the Fall of 2010.  We had just moved into our home and knew nothing of the sprinkling system which is quite large (16 stations).  The person that came out wasn't sure how to turn it off and ended up turning on a major water line that led out to the field behind our house.  We did not notice that water was pumping out to the field 24/7 for over a month.  Once we noticed they were quick to come out and turn off the line with no charge.  An understandable mistake.  The spring 2011 came and they turned our water on, no problem, did weed and feed and the lawn seemed fine.  They came to blow out our sprinklers in the Fall again with no problem and recommended we aerate our lawn which they did after the sprinklers had been blown out.  In the Spring 2012 the lawn was burning up.  I called numerous times to have them get our sprinklers turned on.  They were super busy, which is understandable most lawn care places are busy that time of year.  The office people were always very communicative and helpful.  The person that was doing the water turn on was the one who continued to promise to come and then wouldn't call or show up.  He finally showed up when my lawn was completely dry/brown.  He couldn't get our sprinkler system to turn on, he said mice must have chewed through the wires.  He spent several weeks trying to figure out how to get our sprinklers on.  Later he admitted that it was probably damaged from the aeration the previous Fall.  Weed Man didn't charge us for the repair which I was grateful for.  The Sprinkler guy didn't wait to make sure all the sprinklers were working properly so I had them come out to adjust our sprinklers later in the season which again was a long wait.  I was having issues with several sprayers in the front lawn and the lawn wasn't getting watered properly.  They came out and said it was plugged sprinkler heads.  (I have since had the sprinklers replaced because the real issue was not enough water pressure). In the Fall I waited and waited for them to come blow out our sprinklers.  We had several hard freezes and I was getting concerned.  I decided to call someone else to blow them out.  I called to tell weed man not to bother coming out to blow out the sprinklers.  We canceled our service with them.  I think they are so busy that they promise more than they can deliver in a timely fashion.  Again I would like to commend the office staff for their customer service.  I only wish they had more lawn maintenance guys to do the work they take on. I think they are competitive in their pricing and really liked the staff.  Everyone was always super nice/polite.  I don't mind waiting when someone is up front with me, but I hate to be told what I want to hear just to appease. <br />"

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Iona, ID

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
