"Westbrook was great. Dave was very communicative and his crew was on time and friendly. When they came in the house they wore masks. They built shelving in the garage and then did a few smaller odds and ends including replacing the screen door. Everything came out great. No overages in the original estimate and they finished the work on time. There are a few other projects to be done around the house and I will be hiring Westbrook again in the future. Again I can’t emphasize enough that Dave was in constant contact with me throughout and he was always on time. It drives me crazy when contractors are late with no notice or you’re chasing them down and they don’t follow up. Well worth any premium for that type of peace of mind."

"I can't say enough about Hector and his team. It was a big project involving tearing out an old rotting wooden retaining wall and installing one with interlocking blocks -- a LOT of blocks along a very long stretch, multiple levels, and in a place that machinery could not easily reach. I put it out for multiple bids, and some people just make up (higher) numbers. Hector's bid was very competitive, maybe even the lowest, and he did more work than anyone else was proposing to do. In particular, an additional design element that he proposed (he was the only one I talked to who took the time to find out what I liked and didn't like and made a creative suggestion for something new, rather than just replacing what the old one looked like). And then the team was all super professional and friendly, took the time needed to do the job right and it was a lot of very hard work. We've been getting a lot of compliments on the results. Would hire these guys again in a heartbeat."

They redid everything in the bathroom, from walls, floors, plumbing, electrical, and shower. Miguel is an expert and was able to anwser all my questions. He got back to me the following day with a detailed plan how to renovate a space which was out of date and in poor condition. We negotiated a price and signed an agreement to perform the work. He had great ideas and suggestions, but always deferred to me on what work would be performed. His crew arrived promptly on the agreed upon date, and worked tirelessly over the course of that month. They were always professional, polite, and thorough. Ernie always was in touch with me discuss work progress and answer my questions or concerns. When problems arose like the need to reroute a gas line during the kitchen renovation, he brought in another licensed expert to do it. But at no time did he ever try to renegotiate the agreed on price or scope of the work. A few times I walked onto the site unannounced, and the crew was always hard at work, on one occasion installing a sub-floor in the new kitchen. The transformation of the old bathroom and kitchen was amazing, functional, and beautiful. They restored the wood floors, repaired the windows, painted the walls, installed new countertops, all new appliances and lighting, and even put new blinds up for the windows. When I finally put the apartment on the market, I had a buyer within hours.
