"Lou is a true craftsman...honest, knowledgeable, highly experienced and very well organized. He was patient and helpful during the design phase, when I asked so many questions and kept revising the plan. It took a few months for the cabinet order to arrive. Lou was very diligent about providing a target date and keeping me informed. On the delivery day, he came at 8AM and placed leveling blocks on the walls. The cabinets arrived and, by 10AM, Lou had already unpacked and installed the first row of wall cabinets. He works alone quietly and he is very neat and methodical. There was no music blasting, no cursing...he came in through the garage and never walked beyond my kitchen. He screens his phone calls so that he is not interrupted while he works. He is very responsive but, when he is working, he remains focused solely on that project without distraction. Lou brought in an electrician and fabricator who also did a very good job. Lou has a positive attitude. He clearly enjoys his work and he is determined to do a professional job. I am very happy with my new kitchen and I plan to hire Lou again to renovate my bathroom."

"Working with Jose and is team was an excellent experience. He’s very dependable and reliable . He shows up on time and he works! His prices are very reasonable and his work product is wonderful. Jose was initially hired to do one project for me (renovation of all 3 bedrooms - install new ceiling light (bedroom had no overhead lighting ) repair ceiling, instal new ceiling fan, paint all bedrooms, built two custom closets. After I realized how well he worked, I asked him back to do a second project on my home, repainting the entire interior of my home, repairs to the ceiling etc. he also did more electrical work on the front of the house. He then did some tile replacement and I installed additional lights in the basement area. This work was done on our vacation co-op unit in Montauk NY.
This contractor was recommended by other owners in our co-op, and we had seen the quality of previous work they did.
We had tried to get other quotes for this job, but could not get responses from other contractors, even ones that were local.
I rated them with "A" for everything except price, and that is only because we could not obtain any other quotes.
When discussing the work to be done, I found that the contractor totally seemed to understand our needs. We wanted quality, but also did not want to use very high-end counter tops and cabinets since this is a rental unit, and damage can be expected. What we got was very good quality that should last for years. Another example of how well he understood us was the new closet work. Normally I would have liked to have drawn a plan of what I wanted. Lacking the time to do a detailed drawing, I just described over the phone what I envisioned. The resulting closet was exactly what I wanted.
We had great communication via phone and email. 
 The resulting sheet rock work and painting is top notch. The transformation of this unit is amazing
Of course, there is always some little problem on a project like this. We had a little problem regarding the refrigerator size and another problem with the supplier of the of the dishwasher.
Because we live 3-4 hours away from this site, it was very important that we have someone we could trust to do the job right, without having to inspect the work in progress. In the end, we only went out to see the work at the very end of the job, and were very satisfied. We met Vinny Pacheco, the principle in this firm, and are very happy to recommend him and VPQC to anyone who needs quality work from someone you can trust.
