"Bohannon Services provided efficient installation of equipment. All personnel were courteous and fairly well versed in their duties. Be sure to have Bohannon installers check for motor speed setting on the air handler before leaving your home. The ADP factory set our blower's motor on 'high' for a 36 ton CFM (air flow measurement), which proved to be too loud for comfort. The higher the tonnage of CFM the higher the motor speed from the factory. I had to consult with the manufacturer on how to adjust the blower's motor speed to a lower speed myself. Bohannon installed a 3 speed motor, but a five speed would allow for more variability of speeds and noise comfort. Not sure if all manufacturers of air handlers set the blower's motor speed in the same manner, so consult with the manufacturer first then the dealer/contractor. Good luck on your install. When you acquire estimates from BSC or any other HVAC, make certain that the items listed for installation are indeed installed once the work commences. Standard 'parts and labor' usually runs two years and up to 5 years depending on the HVAC. To obtain extended warranties on equipment, one has to apply for such at the manufacturers website with S/N and M/N in hand. Don't accept anything less than the best from any HVAC, your paying for it and you have to live with the results."

"Came out and gave a very inexpensive estimate ($25), so if you are not sure what is wrong with your Heat/AC they are a great place to start. However, the first thing he discovered was a bad capacitor so he stopped there per company policy and said it would be $220 to fix that and then we could see if there was something else wrong as well with the blower motor, etc. I knew that capacitors were not an expensive part ($10 or less, which he confirmed) and it would take him less than 5 minutes to put the new one on and see if there was anything else wrong. However, he said the company would not let him simply charge me $50 or so (which I offered) to replace that part and then go from there. So I thanked him for his time and the estimate, paid him the $25, and went to the local electric supply place and bought a capacitor for $8.33 and connected the two wires to it when I got home - voila, problem solved.

They are very capable and professional, and offer the cheapest estimate I could find at $25.  However, the pricing of their services on a "step by step" basis needs improvement.  Perhaps this is standard practice in the AC service business, I don't know."
