"From estimate to completion, everything was great! An estimate was given without me having to be there AND without having to put my dog in his kennel. (That was the 1st great thing) I received a phone call & email to make sure everything was explained. I had lots of questions & each of them was addressed quickly & without making me feel like I was bothering them. Once we decided on using AGAN, they set up an install date. The installation guys showed up on time & ready to work. I was quoted 2-3 days for completion & they finished in 2 days (even with my neighbor forgetting to leave their dogs in the house which halted demo day). The end result is a gorgeous fence! "Pretty good experience overall. Fence is beautiful and sturdy and has a 24-month warranty. Sealer is a natural color, not an ugly orange. Had to remind owner to come by to give an estimate after initial contact. Job was finished on third day, instead of promised second day due to a miscount of needed materials. He did not appear on the day the project was finished to collect the final payment. Came the next day. Did not install interior pulls on gates after I suggested upon final pymt that would be a nice touch. Presumably future clients will receive pulls without asking."

"Joels fence designs took into consideration style, durability, quality, cost, and functionality.  I had a tentative idea of what I wanted with this project but had specific concerns regarding my very large dogs which Joel addressed extremely well.    Joel listened to what I had to say and walked through it with me on site.  He thought of things I hadn't even considered and made appropriate suggestions to fill the gaps in my plan.  

I had him put in a 6 foot wooden privacy fence with a gate along the back of the property.  In addition, he designed and installed a wrought iron fence around the upper tier of my deck and yard including multiple gates.  Lastly, he built a fence on my side yard to form a dog run including stairs from my upper to lower tiers of my yard. 

Joel was professional, helpful, and extremely responsive.  He ensured all work performed was completed in a timely manner and also that his team cleaned up and left my property in great shape.  He has since followed up to make sure his work has continued to meet my expectations.

I think this should be right out there - His pricing was fair and there were NO HIDDEN ITEMS OR SURPRISES. And yes, I had shopped around - I'm an auditor after all.  I will definitely be a repeat customer.  Thanks Joel

"Company was responsive to my phone calls.   Gave me a detailed written estimate.  I had already been to their website and had learned quite a bit about fencing.  I had received a total of five quotes and this company was the only one to point out that a permit was needed in my city.  Other contractors, when asked about permits, had lied and said they weren't necessary.  That was a black mark against them.



The crew came out as scheduled on a Thursday morning and demolished the existing fence and dug post holes for the new fence.  They installed a temporary plastic fence and left.   A truck delivered materials around 11 am and the crew came back that afternoon and set the posts in cement.  They were back at 7:30 on Friday and began to assemble the fence.  It was made of Western Red Cedar with cedar rails.  It was finished with a cedar top cap and a pressure treated rotboard along the bottom.



After a week, I noticed that one of the boards had split vertically, and they came out and replaced the board. The fence looks good and passed it's permit inspection!

"I had previously used Means to paint the outside of my home. I was pleased with that outcome, and they did not disappoint me painting the interior of my home.
They showed up on time all three days. Careful attention was paid to removing belongings, covering and closing off areas so that there was no mess to clean up. They let me know their lunch plans and when they would leave at the end of the day so that we could coordinate our time. The cost was in the middle of other bids I obtained from Angie's List.
Means also went above and beyond the scope of the work. On the last day, several workers finished early and rather than sit around, they repainted some woodwork. They even sealed a squirrel hole outside the home with metal and painted it to match before they finished.
