"Review for G&G Landscaping (G&G Landscape, LLC) – Owners Derek & Amanda Gardner, MHIC# 155902 In 2024, I hired G&G Landscaping to complete a patio and fence project at my home, totaling $44,000 ($9,800 of which was for the fence). While I was initially satisfied with the patio installation, the quality of their work quickly came into question. Just 11 months after completion, the patio began to sink in several areas, creating large and noticeable gaps between the pavers. This is extremely disappointing, especially considering that the project came with a 5-year craftsmanship warranty, which was a major reason I chose G&G over other (less expensive) contractors. I reached out to Derek Gardner through the contact information provided. He responded at first, apologized for the issue, and assured me that someone would come to inspect the patio by the end of that week. I reached out to Guardian Basement, and Joel scheduled a time to check it out. His tone was completely different this time—defensive and dismissive. Within five minutes, he claimed, “Your system is clogged.” He made this assessment without any real inspection—just by looking at the cement floor and wall. Now, here’s the catch: If you look closely at their so-called lifetime warranty, clogs are not covered. So despite spending thousands of dollars, I’m back to square one. To make matters worse, Joel was incredibly condescending and unpleasant to deal with. After this experience, I looked into their licensing with the state of Maryland and found multiple complaints against them. I am now in the process of submitting my own complaint as well.
