"**UPDATE: Just yesterday (a day or two after I submitted the review below), we noticed that Barrier had come out and replaced the trim with the correct color. I don't know when they came to do this, as we received no notifications that they were coming/had been there. We're pleased that this finally got done and hope that any possible future projects with Barrier go smoother. 

The work on the window replacement was fine, but they put the wrong color trim on the exterior window framing. The install crew didn't bother to let my husband know (who was home at the time of the work) that they were finished, and rather than letting him know so he could check their work and make sure it was done correctly, they just left. We contacted Neil Masten a couple of days later via phone to let him know that the trim color was wrong, and he indicated they'd have to special order the correct color trim. He indicated it would take a few weeks but as soon as it came in, they'd send someone out to fix it. Well it's been a few months, and after one follow up call initiated by myself that was answered (I was told they were still waiting on the trim to be delivered) and another call that was again initiated by me and has now gone unanswered for 2 weeks, we are still waiting for the trim to get fixed. They have our money already because we bought the services through the Angies List Big Deal, so getting paid is not a motivating factor for them to complete the work."

"If you’re thinking of having anything done, call Bill first! He is knowledgeable in so many things. He not only was fixing washing machine, but doing plumbing work identifying leaks throughout the house, fixing them and replacing old sink fixtures and he’s just an all-around nice guy! He’s so kind and really listens and is not there just for the work but he truly enjoys, helping people. There’s no job too big or too small. "I bought a special offer (via Angie's List) for HomeMade Design to provide a design for one room in my house.  I was in the process of moving into a new home, organizing it, etc. so really wanted help with some interior design.  But I was so busy that the deal ended up expiring before I could use it.  I contacted HomeMade Design and they told me that all they could do was give me credit for the amount of the deal toward a future purchase.  The thing is, I can't afford their prices (even with the credit), so I ended up throwing money away.  My fault, but I wish the deal could have been a little more flexible in terms of expiration.  We (Homemade Design and I) had never started the project so what difference did it make if we started one year later?  I still need a design and they have the money.....why can't we start now?  Note:  I would have gladly paid a little more to compensate for inflation of costs, etc. during the  time lapsed."
