"It went perfectly. He came in and measured (and told me I needed less tile than I had estimated!) and then he even offered to pick the tile up for me at the store. He came first thing on the morning he said he would. I forgot to buy grout so he brought me grout in the exact color (light gray) I asked for. He finished the next day as he said he would. He was professional, polite, organized, and kept me up to date constantly by text since I was out of town or in town but at work. The actual labor and installation is beautiful. I couldn't be happier. After he left, I walked around the house to find other things he and his team could do. I wish I had found him earlier. I am getting new bathroom cabinets installed on top of the new tile he just put down and as soon as those cabinets are in, I will post a photo."

"VC Flooring performed our home renovation above and beyond our expectations! Victor did everything he said that he would do and much more! In this day and age it is very difficult to find a company like this to perform beyond the standards. I would highly recommend this company. They perform large and small renovations and any type of repairs. Victor will be our go to contractor for any repairs or renovations we incur for any future work. I highly recommend this company, you won’t be disappointed."

"They were polite, courteous and prompt. Very good work. Miguel Cortes (the owner) was very polite and helpful. 6 months ago my carpet was rippling, and I called him and he came and looked at it, sent someone to fix it and didn't charge me! I would definitely recommend them. Everything was very nicely done and everything has held up since they were last at my home."

"Provider was very, very nice. He did all rooms to satisfaction. I was hoping the carpets would look a bit fresher, but that isn't necessarily his fault. I liked that there were no harmful chemicals. He was professional and considerate and I would call again.

"Wilson provides a one stop shop and you don't have to hire a separate electrician, plumber or handyman.  Wilson takes care of everything and they had the entire job completed in one day. Wilson made it easy and we would highly recommend AAA for all of our granite and flooring needs. In fact, we had granite left over and we were also able to have the utility room done. WE couldn't be happier with the job and the team.

FAQs for carpet repair, refasten, or stretch projects in Jean, NV

Removing a rug costs around $0.40 to $0.50 per square foot. This includes the fee for a contractor to roll up the rug and haul it away in a vehicle for disposal or recycling. If they need to move furniture, they might charge an additional $0.25 to $0.30 per square foot of furniture.

If your carpet has minor damage—like a single area that requires stretching, patching, or cleaning—it might be less expensive to pay for carpet repair than remove and replace it. Repairing carpet costs around $210 per project.

The cost of carpet cleaning is about $190 for a three-bedroom home, so it’s a good idea to have your carpet cleaned at least once a year. But most carpeting only lasts 10 years. If your carpet is nearing the end of its life span, it might be more cost-effective to remove and replace your carpet than to clean and repair it. The average cost to install a new carpet is about $1,800.

Search our directory of carpet removal companies and services to find an affordable, screened contractor near you. All HomeAdvisor listings are vetted, reviewed, and rated by homeowners, so you can be sure to find a local pro qualified for your project. Get at least three quotes to compare prices and the timeline for your project.

Commercial carpet removal usually costs on the lower end of the carpet removal price range, around $1.10 per square foot or even less. Carpet installation contractors often offer discounted rates for larger projects, like commercial carpet removal and installation. Similarly, you might be able to negotiate a lower residential carpet removal cost if the carpet is pulled up throughout your entire home.

Most cities accept old carpets as bulk trash, but you may need to schedule a special pickup and prepare the carpet properly. Remove any nails or glue residue, cut the carpet into manageable pieces, and roll and secure them. Alternatively, you can take your old carpet to a local recycling center for a small fee, where it can be processed and repurposed.

Yes, you can remove carpet yourself if you're ready for a labor-intensive task. DIY carpet removal requires heavy lifting and tools like utility knives, pliers, and pry bars. The process is generally straightforward but time-consuming for stapled-down carpet. If your carpet is glued down or you're worried about damaging the subfloor, hiring a professional is best to ensure the job is done safely and efficiently.
