"Chris was excellent. I dropped off the computer on Wednesday; he responded by Monday. He explained what had happened - the motherboard had died. He was very clear about what happened and how much it would cost - and advised me that it probably was not worth it. (He was right!) He then answered a number of questions I had about how this might have happened, how to avoid it, and how to go about shopping for a new computer; this was all gratis, right over the phone, for no extra charge. This WAS like having a geek advise me - a polite, thoughtful, and understanding geek who was in no way pretentious or high-handed. Somehow my laptop corrupted the operating system and would not even boot up. Alexander Technical Resources (Spencer) came to my house to try to repair my computer. We decided that my computer needed to go to their repair facility for some serious work. They were able to save all my data, ran thorough diagnostics and repaired my computer. It was such a relief that I did not loose and data.

This is the second time I have used them. The first was to set up this very laptop and transfer all the data from my old PC.

"I noticed that my computer wasn't working properly and I couldn't fix it. I purchased an Angie's List "deal" with Dave's Computers to solve the problem. Dave was able to remote into my computer and immediately knew that malware and/or spyware were affecting it. He ran software to clean it up and it worked but not completely. He then ran more software, removed a lot of junk, defragged the computer, and it worked better than when I got it. I was very impressed with his professionalism and service.
