"The process was easy. I love that Phillip wasn't pushy even when I was undecided on whether or not I wanted to go with AA Marble. I'm SOOO happy I did go with them. It was a pleasant experience. Very good quality of Granite and the installers were on time and professional! Great Job! Thank you so much!"

"Very Professional - This was a time critical job since I desired to put house on market in immediate future. Mr. Jefferys was professional during & timely in providing job inspection and quote. Demolition of existing concrete driveway & sidewalk was efficiently & effectively executed as agreed on the morning of day one and base installed and compacted in the afternoon. The following morning asphault was placed and compacted to specifications. In addition he dressed the edges of both the drive & sidewalk with fresh topsoil. Mr. Jefferys and his employees had all heavy equipment necessary of the complete project efficiently & professionally. He maintained a clean workplace throughout the project and provided a one year warranty on materials & workmanship. I would not hesitate to hire him again & heartily recommend both the quality of his work and egarness to insure a truly exceptional conclusion to the project."

"It went very well, workers were very good and knowledgeable.  Communication with management was hindered possibly by a holiday weekend slowing down scheduling and some confusion with the date of actual work being performed. Foreman was courteous and did what I asked about trimming a piece of concrete that was an eyesore.  They did more work than on paper because there was way too much ballast (and had to be removed with 3 wheel barrels full of rocks)  than need to do a good job. They did whatever they needed to do to get the job done right! <br />"

"I was very impressed. These guys were great. They did a pre-cast arch above the outside grill. When the house was built the builder made it out of a material that got a hole in it due to the heat of the grill. They measured and replaced with the pre-cast stone. I was very impressed with the work. I thought their price was reasonable. They were super to deal with. I would use them again in a heartbeat."

"The quality of the deck, grow box and retaining wall are very good. I'm getting great vegetables out of the garden! I don't think the tree cutting project really finished up as well as I expected. Although they brought the trees down expertly, Lee had promised to "chunk up" the trees that were cut down so we could make firewood out of them and that didn't get done until I hired someone else this Spring. Overall I'd really recommend Lee and Mark for their building skills and if you're ready to deal with the mess yourself they're precise about bringing the trees down in tight spaces. <br />"

"I had my laminate countertop replaced with granite. It looks great! The install date was postponed once due to an equipment breakdown but they bent over backwards to accommodate my schedule. The workers were nice and efficient. I would definitely use them again. I have actually recommended them to my brother. If he replaces his countertops he will check them out. They did not replace my sink. I like my sink so I kept it."

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Jesup, GA

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
