"Mr. Frazier and his assistant tuck pointed and repaired all of the affected areas. They ground out the old mortar and filled in the grooves with mortar that was a very close match to the original mortar on the outside of my house. They were prompt and professional and the job was done right."

"P.K. Masonry arrived at my home on three different days on time, ready and willing to start the work. I was impressed how carefully he measured and drew out the plans for the fireplace. On my fireplace install PK was always concerned with what I was asking for, and listened to what I had to say. We didn't always agree, but he showed great patience dealing with me who knows nothing about what it takes to build a fireplace. I love my new fireplace that he built and will enjoy owning it for years to come. I definitely would hire PK again and have a job for him, planned for the future."

"Shane and Crew (Wet Seal Waterproofing) finished their week long project on July 15, 2018. I got 4 estimates due to the reputation of this type of project. They won the bid. Every step of the process was explained before the project and during the stages of the project. They are professional and delivered on their promises. I waited a week to do this review to see if the work performed held up to the severe summer storms we have been having. No problem. It is dry as a bone in the basement and the crawl space. I highly recommend them."

"Tim came with ideas. He is not only a landscaper but a true architect. He but gave use multiple ideas and gave us many revised quotes and solutions on how to fix water run-off, ways to make our patio more useful and amazingly beautiful ideas on how to soften our retaining wall with plants. I could not have imagined that my backyard would be a beautiful place that not only solved our water run off problems but looks like a true designer was present with an overall vision. He was always courteous, on-time, flexible and patient as I reworked our budget and wanted to understand all our options. I would highly recommend him and look forward to working with him again."

"They worked very hard, arrived early, did a meticulous job, cleaned up well and did the work professionally. They arrived at 7am and didn't leave until 9pm, finishing the landscaping in the dark. They even returned the next day to spread some topsoil in some ruts the bobcat created, added some soil near the pad and picked up some dried concrete on the street. They did a first class job and we were extremely pleased. We had three quotes and they were the best price. The owner came out twice and discussed the plans with us after we made some modifications from our original request. Drains the way it should"

"The workers worked all day, they did not dally around and were very nice to deal with.  They stayed with the job until it was done and did not leave.   We are not sure if this will hold because the drive had already been pumped up three times and did not stay. That is why they felt like the cement should be taken out and the area filled with gravel and packed down.   We are hopeful this will take care of the problem, but that remains to be seen as time and driving on it will show.  But they felt like it would and the price was not as high as some others.  So after awhile we may be able to tell you more how it is working.  The estimate price we were given is what we paid.  No hidden costs to us. <br />"

"We have a small driveway that was nothing but crumbling concrete.    Called for an estimate.    Got a returned call within 24 hours,  came out the next day to do the estimate.     Good pricing,   sharper than competition.     Installed a new driveway,  left the site very clean.   Very happy!  <br />"

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Riverdale, GA

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
