"Was contacted by the Owner (Rick) and he sent out a technician Travis Joslin. He was very professional, friendly, and knew his job very well! Since I hadn't used my system in a couple of years he checked everything out and he was honest and let me know that the system was in much better shape than what I thought it was. He only needed to replace a couple of the sprinkler heads and redirect a few more. I had a zone that wasn't providing enough water in one of my zones and needed to get another head installed and I also requested to get Drip lines installed into my flower bed. I made another appointment and Travis came out again; completed the work and I'm very satisfied with how my system is working. I would recommend this company if you're having any issues with your sprinkler system!! The company will return your phone calls, if an appointment is made they will show up on time, and if your tech is Travis expect Outstanding, Quality Work!!! I highly recommend this company and will use them for any sprinkler issue I may have in the future!!!"

"We spent approximately $17,000 on this project. After the installation (August 2016), it appeared that the installation was generally okay. However, my wife and I did note to Mr. Young that his employees had stapled the wires running up the trees very deep into the tree bark (see attached pictures) and that eventually as the trees grow there would likely be an electrical short. Mr. Young responded that this was normal installation procedure and that he had never had any troubles in previous installations. In October 2017 (after the warranty expired), a short did occur as predicted and three lights in a row went out. Mr. Young refused to acknowledge it was due to the extreme stabling referred to above. However, the solution to the problem required him running new wires up the same trees with less severe stapling. We had to pay Mr. Young $500 to resolve the specific issue that was clearly caused by his poor installation but he would not replace all the wiring running up the other trees. Therefore, we are likely to experience future failures do to Mr. Young's poor installation. After Mr. Young repaired the problem and we paid him, I asked a Master Electrician to look at pictures of the "severe stapling" and he said "of course it caused the short." Later we had a bulb go out and when I tried to find the same type of bulb that would fit, I discovered it was no longer being produced. I called Mr. Young to ask where I could find another bulb that would work and he said the one he installed was still being produced. When I informed him that the company that produced the bulb had on their website that it was no longer in production, he accused me of speaking to him in a condescending manner. Mr. Young has a great sales pitch but does not stand behind his work and becomes argumentative if you do not agree with him. Luckily for me, the company who no longer produces the original bulb (that Mr. Young installed) in our back yard helped me find another bulb (at no cost) that is produced by a competitor. Mr. Young simply refused to help."

"RUN, don't walk, away from Anthony & Sylvan. I don't know how this company is still in business. The 9 months it took to build our pool was an absolute nightmare. Extremely poor communication and totally apathetic attitude from everyone involved with the process. They don't even try to hide the fact that they simply don't care. And it doesn't get any better once your pool is complete. We went through 3 project managers, each one worse than the last. Our current PM, Gabriel Hodge, fell off the face of the earth. I can't stop laughing at the reviewer who called him "hands down the best project manager ever". Must be a family member. We've been trying to get in touch with him since the end of March with no response to phone calls, voicemails or texts. We finally gave up on him. I managed to get ahold of our construction scheduler, Cynthia, who agreed to help me with our punch list of items that still need repair (our pool deck is cracking and peeling off after only 3 months, mismatched paint on our stucco pool skirt, broken flagstone/grout around the spa). I sent her photos and the punch list items, and she assured me she would get these scheduled for repair and they were booking out about two weeks. Well, that was a month ago and not only have we not had any repairs done, she's gone MIA as well. I've emailed and left several voicemails with no response. I've tried calling Dan Barrett, who's listed as the General Manager for San Antonio, multiple times and the phone just rings and rings and rings, no answer and no voicemail. For days now, I've tried calling just about every single phone number listed on the website for San Antonio, Austin and Houston and LITERALLY NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE. I wouldn't recommend A&S to my worst enemy. Just awful."

"It was discussed at the beginning that their crew will come and look at the sprinkler problem and give me a quote. after the review they gave me a sky rocketing quote ($5000-$6000) so i decided to move on with some other company, they fixed the problem in less than $500. two months down the lane I receive $125 an invoice for inspection which I was told that they would just come out and give me a quote, no cost for inspection. Unfortunately, there is no email or txt about this so I can't prove it. The person at the front desk apologizes for the miss communication, but i still have to pay for it. I would not recommend this company. Make sure to get everything in written if you are going with them."

"The work I contracted for was completed in October, 2017 and I paid on time the amount asked for. Mr. Chavarria promised the Certificate of Compliance and on Oct. 14, 2017 told me that the engineer has already come to inspect the work and has submitted the paper work to Windstorm Ins. Assoc. Since I have called several times (12's). I keep receiving excuses that the engineer is very busy, the paperwork take time, the engineer has been out of the country, etc. The bottom line is that I do not have the Certificate of Compliance and I will be having problem with my Windstorm Insurance. I really trusted this company, but at this point I do not think they are worthy of my trust. Be careful when dealing with them."

"We hired DJ Construction for a bathroom remodel. The contract stated that it would take 18 to 26 working days to complete the project. I was very happy with the demo process. His worker came every day on time, worked all day, and cleaned up before he left. DJ went with me to pick out tile and told me where to go to pick out granite and cabinets. He used a licensed plumber to do the required plumbing. Problems began with the installation of the tile. DJ charged me for an upgrade on tile installation to a staggered pattern (brickwork). Since the tile was the same for the walls and floor, I requested a herringbone pattern for the floor to set it apart from the rest of the bathroom tile. He said that the brickwork pattern would normally take a day for installation, but the herringbone pattern would take six days. However, he never said he couldn't do it - only that it would take longer. About halfway through the floor installation, I pointed out a couple of areas where the tiles didn't line up, leaving sharp edges that were not only noticeable but would catch your toe and cause injury. They told me it was because they didn't level (or float) the floor. They replaced several tiles in one area, but it did not correct the problem. I told DJ that those corners were not just sharp on the toes but would likely break from people walking on them. He advised that it was due to the pattern because the tiles are not all uniform. We talked about it at length, and he would tell me that it was because of the design, and then he would say it was because they didn't float the floor. His final answer was, "this is as good as it gets" because of the pattern. However, when taking a closer look at the shower that was installed from the pattern HE picked, it had the same, very visible issues as the floor. So, I told him I didn't think it was the pattern because the shower has the same problems, but it wouldn't cut anyone's toes because no one would be walking on the wall. Then they said it was the tile - which he helped me pick out and never said they didn't know how to install it properly. I finally asked if he would be happy if this were his floor, and he admitted he would not. He acknowledged that it was poorly installed but that he would not fix it because that was the best he could do. DJ said he would send his handyman back to attempt to fix the floor tiling with grout, but after that, "by law," he could send a final bill, and I would have to deduct the cost to fix the problems. He advised that I should call a couple of other tile installers to get bids. However, after speaking with three contractors, they've all stated there is no 'fix' for the improper tile installation. These tile installers advised that DJ should complete his contract by hiring a tile installer rather than a handyman because DJ has better access to the tradesmen who can correctly install the tile. I relayed all this information to DJ and didn't get a response. Finally, I sent him a letter with a deadline for resolution. He responded by asking when we could meet to discuss my concerns again. I gave him a date and time, asking him to respond with his confirmation. I did not receive a response, nor did he show up. While he did 'complete' his installations within the 26 days, it appears that the poor workmanship throughout the bathroom may be a result of cutting corners to make his deadline since he seemed to be so concerned that the pattern would take six times longer than his original plan. Now I am left with an unfinished bathroom with sharp and dangerous installation issues and a contractor who won't complete his contract or respond to my requests."
