"They do not do partial roofs, it cancels the warrenty. Apparently we have a small job, but necessary."

"They were friendly, efficient and did a fantastic job on replacing/repairing our aging chimney. They replaced the flashing which was previously installed incorrectly. The new chimney cover works great and keeps the birds out. Excellent job on the clean up as well. Highly recommended."

"It went well. Gave me a report of the chimney's structure and condition. He pointed out a few things that we needed to keep an eye out for. It had been a while since I lit a fireplace fire, he gave me a quick tutorial and some tips.

"A fireplace inspection from another company advised that the cracks in two fireplaces in our 1965 home were so significant it rendered them unusable until repaired, and we needed chimney liners. I obtained additional inspections & bids from 3 companies including VCM. I knew I needed a professional mason due to the size and location of the cracks. Greg walked me through what needed to be done to make both fireplaces safe to use again which gave me confidence in his pricing, scope and quality of repair (his 30 years of experience was evident). The cost was very reasonable, and significantly lower than the other two bids. He also worked this job into his busy schedule because we had a renter moving into this property very soon. The quality of his work was excellent. I highly recommend this company."

"Jason created a beautiful patio with stones I had picked out. The french drain works. The only issue I had was that I had to work hard to get a detailed bid with labor and materials divided. Once that was worked out, Jason was great."

"I lived in the house while the seven weeks of work were progressing. Not once was I embarrassed by the workers or worried about security. They were all friendly, competent, and professional. When they said they'd do something or be there, they were. A number of items that needed repair became clear during the time, and it was clear when we had to add items to the worklist. I purchased many of the items when the crew told me it would be cheaper if I did it myself, but most of the time the materials were all handled by the crew. Each day they cleaned up thoroughly before leaving for the evening, something that I came to really value! When mistakes happened, Tom, the crew boss, never got upset but simply got about making things right. As a result, I never felt threatened about pointing out things that I wanted or thought needed improvement on. Every few weeks Bob brought a new invoice for the work done and materials purchased so far, so we never paid ahead. Furthermore, we were assured that the price would never overrun the contract we signed, and that is how it turned out. We had added new jobs along the way, which added cost, but items that we had bought ourselves that had been specified in the contract were removed from the invoices, so we never felt cheated or double-billed. Finally, it was wonderful to have Nancy cleaning mirrors, sinks, toilets, floors, windows, counters, and drawers throughout. When my wife finally arrived at the end, she did not have days and days of cleaning to do before we could even get to our boxes. Friendly, honest, competent workers: it was a joy to work with the F/X crew. We have already gotten on their list for more items that we didn't have in the contract, so we look forward to having F/X to our place again!"

"All went well. Mike arrived on time and began in the fireplace. He cleaned the firebox, and connected a vacuum to the chimney to remove the soot from the interior. He prepared the space well, securing the vacuum and using a drop cloth on the hearth and nearby carpet. No dust or debris was left and we didn't need to move any furniture. Mike also inspected the exterior of the chimney, from the ground and from the roof. He took photos of some damage to the cap and of moss that cant be seen from the ground. He recommended areas that may need attention, and suggested things to better maintain our fireplace and get more years out of it.
We will definitely call them again for any chimney work.
