"Great! KC Metro Plumbing arrived on time, provided 2 options (repair vs replace the leaking faucet). The repair option was less expensive, though not guaranteed to resolve the issue - as a few different things could be the root cause and it may need replaced entirely. I chose to repair it, and thankfully it resolved the issue at very little cost. Grateful to KC Metro Plumbing for following up with us on our inquiry so quickly, and coming out the next day (before freezing temp's outside were forecasted to arrive just 2 days later). We would absolutely hire KC Metro Plumbing again. THANKS!!"

"We had a backup in lower level tub, as well as gurgling toilet, along with the basement floor drain backing up...based on googling, I feared the worst. I called Plumbline, as they came referred from a friend. They came out the same day and diagnosed the problem in about 20 minutes; it was just a toilet paper clog. It would have been very easy for them to have said it was something more serious, and I know there are companies that do things like this. But Plumbline did only what the job required and Dave was very pleasant to work with. We used a more 'publicized' company right when we moved here, because we didn't know better, to swap out some faucets and toilets...come to find out, they charged double what Plumbline charges for the same work. I strongly recommend you use Plumbline for your plumbing needs."

"Zach from Mac Wilson plumbing came to my house to review estimates I had received from a couple of the "big" plumbing companies relating to my main sewer line. The "big" companies had claimed the entire sewer line was shot and needed to be replaced at costs ranging from $12K to $15K. Zach reviewed everything and told me my sewer line only needed regular maintenance and cleaning at a cost of a couple hundred dollars a year and the full replacement was not needed at all. He could easily have convinced me to spend several thousand on a replacement with him, but his honesty and integrity shone through. Mac Wilson just earned a customer for any plumbing needs I have in the future. Fantastic."

"I’ve used Anthony Heating & Plumbing for close to 8 years. They’ve replaced heating/A/C and water heater. They also have done some plumbing, fixed a sump pump issue, installed new PVC pipes for better flow and do annual general maintenance on my A/C and heater. They are punctual, friendly and clean. A few of my neighbors began using them."

"We had a broken clay main drain pipe under our concrete driveway. The team was able to find it, dig it up, replace it, and patch the concrete. Our drains are flowing fast and clean now. It was no small job, but the team persisted until it was resolved. We will use this company again if other drain issues occur."

FAQs for faucets, fixtures and pipes repair or replace projects in Kansas City, KS

You can absolutely install an outdoor mixture tap outside your home. An outdoor mixer tap blends hot and cold water before it leaves the spout, giving you a steady temperature for rinsing produce, washing hands, or spraying down patio furniture. As long as a plumber runs both hot and cold supply lines and insulates them against freezing, a mixer outside performs just like the one in your kitchen.

Outdoor faucet handles come in twist, lever, or knob varieties, all designed to stand up to the elements while giving you precise flow control. They’re built from tough materials yet offer the same comfort and ease of use as indoor faucets. Ask your plumber for a selection and for recommendations on the best option for your needs.

Start by pinpointing the leak—often it’s a worn washer, a loose packing nut, or a damaged gasket. If it’s salvageable, replace the faulty part; otherwise, you may need a new faucet. Always turn off the water before starting repairs, and test thoroughly when you’re done to confirm you’ve stopped the leak.

You can protect your outdoor faucets during the winter months by shutting off the water supply to the outdoor faucet before freezing weather arrives and by always disconnecting any attached hoses. You can further safeguard your outdoor faucets against ice by insulating the pipe and installing a basic faucet cover.

An outdoor faucet can last 20 years, though budget models may wear out in 10, and high-end ones can push 30 or more. Proper installation, routine upkeep, and careful use help you get the most life from any spigot. Ask your plumber for maintenance and care recommendations to get the most from your outdoor faucet.

Replacing an outdoor spigot yourself might work if you’re handy, but a professional plumber guarantees code compliance, reduces the risk of water damage, and offers peace of mind. If you’re not sure about soldering or local regulations, it’s best to hire a licensed plumber for a lasting fix that you can feel confident in.
