"We were very worried after a fire started in our oven, thinking it was a defect, but David found that grease had built up near the heating element, took it apart to show us the issue, and guided us through cleaning it properly. He also gave great advice on preventing it in the future, showed us how to use the self-clean feature, and even shared maintenance tips for our other GE appliances, including locating the refrigerator water filter. The service David provided was professional, thorough, and truly above wonderful."

"Have had Jeff work on appliances in the past and he was wonderful - not sure what happened. Do not trust or recommend - he had a chance to make it right and didn't even respond. He came out to service our dryer in Dec 2025 when it was making thumping noises. He charged $375 to replace the rollers - seemed a bit high priced but needed to be done. Within a month the dryer was making horrible screeching noises - recorded the sound at his request, sent it to him and he said he'd be out that week to fix it. Did not reach out to schedule a time to come. I texted him a few more times over the next few weeks - zero response from him and even gave him one last chance to respond before contacting another repair person. COMPLETELY GHOSTED ME. Had to hire new repair person who did not throw Jeff under the bus - but basically said he had to repair/replace what Jeff had just charged us $375 to replace. An additional $260 later it is fixed - at this rate we could have bought a new dryer."

Customers say: Quality work

"Our tech was friendly, very knowledgeable and efficient. He worked very clean and left the area clean when he was done. They called before the showed up and were right in the time windows they said they would be. I was having a issue with my washer not filling all the way and after I determined it was not a pressure issue or a clogged hose I knew I need a little help. They were able to troubleshoot and solve the problem very quickly. I would recommend CPC Appliance repair for all my appliances issues."

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Kansas City, MO

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
