"Showed up on time (and on the day after Christmas!!). Spent a good deal of time explaining how our septic system works (never had one before and knew NOTHING about them!) and thoroughly cleaned the tank and replaced the cover and the dirt--like it never happened! The gentleman was very patient with my ignorance and answered every question I had--making sure I truly understood what he said. I would ABSOLUTELY RE-HIRE Jerry Mills Septic Pumping service!!"

"Jason was awesome. We first called The Drain Team for a bad backup in our 1961 home. He cleared the blockage and videoed the entire system. He found roots in the sewer line going to the road, clogged vent pipes and what appeared to be a sagging pipe full of water under the bedroom. He cleaned the blocked vents and cabled the lines. He gave us an estimate for repairing the lateral that goes under our paver driveway and to excavate and repair the line under the bedroom. He suggested if we were to repair the lateral, they could hydrojet the rest of the house at that time to get a better view of the suspect bedroom pipe. A week later they were able to repair the lateral without having to take up any pavers. We opted for the hydro jet cleaning and they spent a couple hours cleaning out 60+ years of gunk. In doing so, they determined the bedroom pipe was, in fact, fine, just full of hard scale in a couple areas causing the pipe to hold liquid. By cleaning the pipes first saved me an over $3K repair and having to take up and replace the floor. Jason's integrity is beyond reproach. A lesser company would have jackhammered the floor. I called Jason back for another job to replace the original tub drain that had corroded into the almost closed position. Working in a small opening in a block wall, he was able to remove the drain and utilize the existing cast-iron trap to install a new assembly. Everything works great now. I highly recommend Jason of The Drain Team."

"This was a good experience. The provider called me the Monday after I purchased the deal and made an appointment for the following Wednesday Morning. He showed up on time, installed the garbage disposal and everything was complete within an hour."

"We decided to upgrade to a natural gas tankless heater and we couldn't be happier. BB arrived on time, completed the installation in a timely manner and cleaned everything up before they left. They arranged for the county permit and inspection as well. Paul was thorough in his explanation of what was done and extremely professional."

"We decided to take on the task of getting our entire home re-piped after having a few copper leaks in old copper pipes. This was a big undertaking as it is an expensive job and involves a lot of holes in the walls. You really want to make sure you hire someone fantastic for this. We got 5 different quotes and did our research. Someone in our neighborhood recommended Believe Plumbing. I did my research and saw the many good reviews. I decided to have the owner, Annier, come by to give a quote. By then I had already had several quotes and knew that their price was very reasonable compared. I was hesitant at first because a lot of the other companies I contacted were in business for 30+ years. I decided to go with Believe Plumbing and I am glad that I did. Annier, who is also the owner, is very involved. He is very patient, I like to ask a ton of questions! The guys he sent out worked very hard. Ismael was very friendly and always had a smile even with our many questions or if we pointed out something. This job is very messy and you will want to cry with the many holes that are necessary but rest assured, Annier has a guy to recommend that does excellent drywall work and will get you right back to where you started. So far the pipes have been great. They do the permit process for you and coordinate the inspector to come by. So it's all legit work. I also had them completely move my water heater from inside the home and into the garage and install a brand new water heater. In my opinion, a good plumber that charges reasonable rates are VERY hard to come by these days. Plumbing work is never cheap but compared to other plumbers who ripe you off, their rates are much more affordable. Annier also came by when the re-pipe was completed and inspects it himself. He does not take payment until the entire job is done and passes inspection by the county. Any issues you bring up, he will address and have a solution. I love that! Today I had to contact Annier because our garbage disposal just went out on us, he was super fast in responding and will have someone out today completing the work with a reasonable price. When you find a company like Believe Plumbing, you save them in your phone and only go to them as you can trust that you are getting the best! I hope they always provide this type of service even when they become an even larger operation. Thank you Believe Plumbing!"

"Everything went well with the install. The plumber showed up on time and was very friendly. However, I noticed (a few days later) that he didn't install a drain pan underneath the water heater. The water heater is inside the house and would cause a lot of water damage if it were to leak. I'm guessing the plumber assumed that I didn't want one installed because there wasn't one installed before, but I feel that he should have at least mentioned it.  <br /> <br /> I should have called right away to talk about the drain pan, but I was moving in to the house, working and fixing all the other things in the house and it completely slipped my mind. They can't fix what they don't know about right? Totally my fault for not calling them up. <br /> <br /> <strong>Llona followed up with me and is sending a plumber out to consult with me about the drain pan. They want to make sure that I am 100% happy with the job.<br /> </strong> <br /> <br /> <br /> For other people that are looking to install a water heater (or do any plumbing work) in an older house, please look at the building code. This is my first house and I had no idea what kinds of questions I should be asking.  <br /> <br /> 2014 Florida Building Codes for Plumbing: <br /> http://codes.iccsafe.org/app/book/toc/2014/Florida/Plumbing%20Code/index.html"

FAQs for basement drainage channels installation projects in Kathleen, FL

Expect a well-built French drain to last 30 to 40 years. By channeling both surface- and ground-water away from your foundation, the system relieves hydrostatic pressure and helps prevent costly structural damage. Choose a pipe with a quality cloth filter to keep sediment out and extend the drain’s life. A quick annual inspection and routine cleanouts will keep water flowing freely, ensuring the system continues to protect your home for years to come.

Most French drains sit two feet below grade, but depth ultimately depends on the problem you’re solving. For puddling rainwater or snowmelt, a shallow curtain drain at lawn level often does the trick. To handle rising groundwater, pros dig deeper, down to the footing, and run the pipe beneath the basement slab. A drainage contractor will determine the optimal depth for your specific soil conditions and water issues.

A properly installed interior French drain captures water at the slab, channels it to a sump pit, and directs it safely outside, preventing basement floods before they occur. Because the pipe sits just under the floor edge, a plumber can reach it easily for cleaning or repairs. Pairing the drain with a reliable sump pump gives you the best long-term protection.

Hire a contractor who installs drainage systems every day—typically a foundation specialist, drainage contractor, experienced landscaper, or plumber with waterproofing experience. These pros understand slope, soil, and local codes, and they have the equipment to trench safely around utilities. Ask for references and photos of recent jobs to be sure they can design a system that keeps water off your foundation for decades.

Once the drain is in, patch the yard by reseeding bare spots or replacing plants the crew removed. Inside, look for ways to add value—finishing the basement or upgrading interior waterproofing while the space is open often costs less now than later. Schedule a quick annual checkup to flush sediment and confirm the pipe and sump pump are clear. Consistent maintenance ensures the drain functions properly and protects your investment.

Most policies don’t cover the cost of repairing a French drain itself, but they may provide coverage for water damage if the system fails. Coverage varies by insurer, so be sure to read the fine print or contact your agent before any issues arise. If you live in a high-risk flood zone, consider a separate flood policy to close the gap. Knowing your coverage in advance helps you budget for repairs and avoid unexpected costs.
