"I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience warrants one. The company canceled my original appointment just three hours before arrival. While inconvenient, I chose to give them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled. During the service visit, they identified mold and recommended additional work to address it. I relied on their expertise and approved all the repairs they recommended. Unfortunately, the work was not performed correctly and resulted in over $1,000 in additional damage that I had to pay to have properly fixed. I requested a refund to cover the damage caused by their mistake and was told a manager would contact me. I never received that call. What concerns me most is not just the initial cancellation or even the improper repair ? mistakes can happen ? but the lack of accountability and follow-through afterward. "It is so rare that we see someone with anything near to this level of expertise, dedication, and value for any home construction or service job. This guy is the real deal, honest and professional. He does what he loves, and he loves what he does, and in doing so provides REAL value for his specific niche. Explained everything and every charge beautifully down to the last detail. We had estimates that were much higher, but he was so principled about explaining what was necessary that we were able to actually save money. We had purchased an older house, and the attic ducts were crushed and a spaghetti mess, making the vents dusty, moldy, and impossible to clean. He redesigned and replaced the ducts for an incredibly reasonable cost, focusing only on what was needed. He did all the work himself and was very careful to keep the workspace clean and tidy. There’s a bit of a delay to get him to be able to come to assess your home, but boy, was it worth it!!! Boyd Services was the most incredibly professional service I’ve hired in all my years from HomeAdvisor or Angie’s Service. We’re talking 2 decades of home services. If I could give him a hundred stars I would. We are super happy we hired him instead of the other folks."
