However, I want to add that I am expecting to tackle a big plumbing job ("repiping") early next year and I had a number of questions on that type of job. "Called at 8 am Saturday and on call plumber said he had a scheduled appointment but would be able to make the repair Saturday afternoon. Upon arrival he removed the insulation and found that the pipe had separated at the connector. JD Plumbing had repaired the pipe in January 2018 after the pipe froze and burst. The plumber, Sean, pointed out that the repair they made had separated but said since it was past the one year warranty he would need to call his manager to see what could be done on price. Sean made he call, sent a picture of the broken pipe and, after a second discussion, advised that the repair (normally $399) would be made at no charge even though we were past their warranty. This company is responsive, honest, and provides great customer service."

"I originally called Nick's Plumbing to fix a kitchen faucet that I could not fix myself. David had it repaired in about 5 minutes. I was embarrassed that I couldn't figure it out myself. This included replacing the roof vent - tankless requires something different than a tank. I was home when they initially arrived and when we negotiated the replacement. I had to leave for work but my wife was there while they worked. She said they departed about 4 pm so it was an all - day job. Nobody replaces their water heater on a whim. Something bad has to happen - like a leak or no hot water. I got lucky. I replaced my hot water heater by talking to an experienced plumber about annoying issues. "The quality was outstanding. I get my sewer roto-rooted every few years. All previous plumbers simply came out, ran the snake down my line, and gave me a bill. But this time, Preston poked a long screw driver into the dirt to determine where the line exited the slab, filled and emptied the washing machine to judge how bad the blockage was, THEN ran the snake. Afterwards he re-filled and emptied the washing machine and showed me that the water was flowing freely, and explained that the obstruction was beneath the middle of the house, rather than a tree root in the back yard. I'm sure I could have found a cheaper plumber, but I'm very OK with $250 for 90 minutes on site."
