"This is an excellent store and service provider.  The selection was great and the price was even better.  I thought it would be more expensive to replace my laminate flooring that was destroyed in the April flooding but the tile was the same price and looks even better.  I was extremely happy with the immediate installation.  Outstanding all the way around!

"The process went well. We had all wet areas (kitchen, both bathrooms, fireplace, foyer and laundry). Tile was cleaned, regrouted and sealed and granite counter tops done. Everything looks clean and crisp! Steve and Xavier were very informative and thorough!"

"I used this service back in 2009 on a large travertine polish job and they did a fine job so i rehired them in my new house in early January 2012 to polish my travertine. It was definitely a poor experience this round. Julian, the rep, was not nearly as helpful - he made appointments and delayed or never showed up. When he did my floors he actually banged up many of the baseboards and the stone around fireplace. He also left a wide band of cloudy residue all around those baseboards which won't come up. This job cost me about $4K. Julian said he would come back out to discuss but did not I'm going to need to pay someone else to get it redone"

"Everything went as planned and were finished prior to the timeline that was set out from the beginning. Roberto is very good at what he does and keeps you updated during all phases of the process. We wrestled with the idea of going cheaper and hiring out each phase of the renovation and doing our own general contracting work, but we are very glad we hired Roberto and his guys to help us instead. At no point during the process was i worried the job wouldn't get done in the manner we wanted it done. The master bath vanities and kitchen island were our signature pieces and Ismael and his guys built them exactly the way we wanted. The tiling was done so well we added on installing stone tile on the fireplaces. One of the fireplaces was not up to Roberto's liking so he made the tiler remove it and fix it at his own cost. Roberto looks at the job as what he would want if it were his house, so never had to worry that he would cut corners or let things not be perfect."

"Randy came out after bad weather and performed the job exceptionally after others couldn’t (because of the weather) and put in the extra effort to remove some paint splatter, we will definitely have him come back out to clean and seal our tiles/grout.  I might add fitting us in the way he did was tremendous considering we are waiting for a baby any day now and one of the rooms was a nursery."

FAQs for tile, stone, marble clean, grout, polish and maintain service projects in Katy, TX

Use a stiff-bristle brush and warm, soapy water to loosen surface grime. Then, let the grout dry and finish with a grout-specific sealant. This combo cleans without scratching the tile and locks out new stains. Always follow the label directions so the cleaner and sealant bond properly. A few extra minutes of care keep grout bright and help your floors look fresher longer.

The most effective cleaner for badly stained grout is a professional-grade steam machine. High-pressure, high-heat vapor lifts embedded dirt without harsh chemicals and brightens grout lines in one pass. Pros often pre-treat tough spots with a mild solution and finish with a soft brush to protect the tile. The result is a deep, even clean that lasts longer than store-bought products.

Tile and grout are water-resistant, not waterproof. Dense materials like porcelain or glass shed moisture well, but even sealed natural stone and standard cement grout can absorb water over time. That’s why routine sealing and prompt spill cleanup matter.

Keeping moisture out prevents erosion, mold, and discoloration—especially in bathrooms, kitchens, and other splash-prone areas.

Schedule professional tile and grout cleaning every six to 12 months, with quick touch-ups in between. Busy kitchens and bathrooms often need attention on the shorter end of that range because constant moisture speeds up staining.

Sticking to this routine keeps grime from setting, reduces mold risk, and stretches the life of your tile and grout, saving you from bigger repairs later.

When done correctly, tile and grout cleaning is perfectly safe for your floors. Pros match cleaners and brushes to your tile type, control pressure, and avoid harsh chemicals that can etch or erode surfaces.

If you’re DIYing, test new products in an inconspicuous spot and follow label directions. The right technique removes buildup while protecting both the tile glaze and the grout lines.

Yes—apply a fresh sealer once the grout is completely dry, usually 24 hours after cleaning. The sealer forms a moisture-resistant barrier that blocks stains, mold, and everyday dirt, making future scrubbing easier. Skipping this step leaves porous grout exposed, which can lead to discoloration or cracks and, ultimately, expensive repairs. A quick reseal now protects both the grout and the surrounding tile.
