"Tim promptly reached out and set up an estimate appt for replacing my sump pump system. Was very informative and explained the recommended job details well and clearly. "I’m a repeat Vanguard customer and will continue to use Jan for any repairs or installations as long as I live in Chicago. I ordered a new oven from a major home retail chain and the people they sent were incompetent and were unable to install the oven. After not having an oven for two weeks and a 9 month old baby I needed to get this installed ASAP. I called Jan and he came over the same day. He installed the oven with no issue and ensured it was working correctly. He also had a contact who came over shortly after to remove the old oven. Jan is a true professional, very knowledgeable, hard worker, and is always reliable. I’m truly grateful to have him work on our house in the past and be able to provide quick repairs / installations such as our oven."

"I have been dealing with sewer smell, sewer back-up, and rats in my basement for many months without much progress after multiple contractors and plumbers. I began the screening process again and found Tim to listen and problem-solve better than any other professional. He expertise really came through at multiple stages of the project. During his camera scope he identified problems not previously picked up. During the repair phase he talked me through the process and was very thorough and organized in his work. During final phase, he came back to hydrojet and rod the entire sewer system out to the city line, provided additional repairs to broken waters lines and gaps in the concrete floor. In the end, Tim did a major repair digging out our front yard to access and repair the sewer line. The majority of the smell has dissipated and, for the first time, I have some peace of mind."

"Right plumber for the job! I had several other plumbers come and offer me quotes for my low water pressure. When Mostapha was invited into my home, he saved the day by repairing my pipes and fixtures. He used his magic to solve the issue under my kitchen sink. I knew this was the right solution because his suggestions, knowledge, and clarity helped me understand the problem. Other plumbers had offered me quotes almost $3,000 more but stated their service might not fix the issue. Mostapha solved my plumbing problems. I would recommend and hire him for any of my plumbing issues."

"Retracting my previous rating on 02/19/2021. The Tech was good, he fully answered my questions. The furnace is working very well. I has a misunderstanding with the filter replacement, however speaking with the Customer Care staff the matter was immediately cleared and I am happy with the results. I plan to hire Four Seasons for more projects as in chimney cleaning and installation of central ai."

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Kenilworth, IL

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
