Ray recently completed a 20'x12' deck off the back of our house, and the entire experience—from initial planning to final screw—was outstanding. He recommended Azek decking, and we’re so glad we followed his advice. The materials are beautiful, durable, and perfect for our space. The finished deck includes a full wrap around smooth top railing, 3-foot stairs off the side, and 5-foot stairs off the front. Ray also removed a large window facing the new deck and installed 48" french doors that open onto the deck. He carefully redid the surrounding siding and adeptly handled dry rot and structural issues from an unlevel, unplumb house with skill and expertise. What really stood out was Ray’s high attention to detail and how it felt like he was building the deck as if it were his own home. Every part of the project was done with care, precision, and pride. Ray was also extremely patient as we went through multiple redesigns to try to stay within budget without compromising quality or our vision. He offered honest recommendations and never pushed unnecessary extras—just smart solutions from years of experience. We’re absolutely thrilled with the result and would work with him again in a heartbeat. "RFI built a second story deck for us. From tear down of the old structure to clean up of the site at end of the project, they were 1st class. The old deck was a true hazard and they were able to repair water damaged areas adjacent to the deck structure as well. Fred was great at offering various design options and happily answered all our questions. Without being prompted, he sent lots of pictures from start to finish, which really kept us informed since we were not on site. The deck and railing turned out beautiful. Would hire RFI again for future projects without hesitation."

"This review is long overdue. Cameron and his crew were fantastic! Due to woodpecker damage, I needed to have my house re-sided in Hardie Plank, and I also developed a bad case of, "well, as long as we're doing that...." They removed the old siding, fixed any areas underneath that needed re-sheathing or re-framing (due to water damage), and then installed the new siding. That was all included in the original price quote. I also decided to update most of the windows and sliding glass doors in the house. When the new custom bay windows arrived and were incorrectly configured (no one's fault on my end or Cameron's, as I recall), he graciously re-ordered them, made triple-sure the configuration was correct, and only charged the price difference between the prior configuration and the correct one. His crew also replaced some exterior stairs and 3 decks for me, one of which was badly deteriorated. Not even pressure treated wood can withstand years of Seattle rain, so my main deck was rotting away. They did a beautiful job of repairing and replacing, so I also had them do the walkway up to to my front door to match. Then came the painting, and the paint job on my house is drop-dead, stunningly gorgeous. It was so stunning that the next two neighbors up from me (with identical floor plans), decided to paint their houses as well. All three are now bright, cheery, primary colors. Along the way, Cameron and the Modernized Exteriors crew did lots of little extras, kept me informed about how the work was going, had me inspect frequently, and charged very fair prices. They even sent someone out to fix an old window leak that hadn't gotten fixed by the re-siding process. My fiancee kept an eye on the work progress too, and as a tradesman himself, he highly approved of the quality of their work. I can't say enough good things, and I will hire them again in a heartbeat for exterior work. I just wish they also did interior work, so I could hire them for a bathroom remodel!"

His team had the old deck out and new deck built in two days, all done the right way, and cleanup was perfect. "Jeramie is an expert in the craft of laying tile. He make sure everything is shimmed to be perfectly parallel, perpendicular, and plum. He identified a leak problem around my bathtub die to grout cracking. He carefully chiseled out the grout that should not have been at the tub/wall, or the tub / floor junction, cleaned everything up and replaced with beautifully done caulking. He figured out why my tub seemed to be leaking water to one corner. It was not level. He saw that the glass doors were not parallel to the wall because the wall was not square. He found the tiling had been done on drywall not cement board and had swelled because of multiple cracks in the grout. He replaced the damaged dry board next to the tile, checked the plumbing to the tub and sealed it up again with meticulous plastering and smoothing, painting. He had to cut a new piece of tile from a 12 x 12, the only thing I had, to finish the job. Skylight water damage: he and Kevin removed a huge piece of drywall from the well of a 4 x 4 skylight that had leaked. It looks as though it never happened now. They worked with my family member who lived in the house navigating their complicated work schedules, would come at the time appointed, whether early or late, work very professionally, and respectfully. Jeramie presents his clear itemized work and cost plan, which is carefully written out day by day what would be done. This is a very professional worker who goes far beyond being a Tile expert. I will engage them now to repair my front porch in a 1905 house, because they are good carpenters as well. They know about plumbing issues and bathroom, remodels, and spontaneously agreed to take on cutting a hole in granite to place a Vessel sink in an unrelated, unlisted project.they work with care, stay as long as it takes to do the job right. "Amado and his team did an excellent job bringing the ideas we had to life. They created a contemporary space in front of our office building with beautiful pavers, concrete benches, a pondless fountain with basalt columns, an irrigation system, lighting, and landscaping. We have been getting many compliments on Sunny Seattle's work. Amado helped us to secure permitting which was a big challenge! He made sure everything was done to code and permitted. He stayed very close to the budget we set. When we had a small leak after the completion of the project he and his team took responsibility and fixed the problem and covered the expenses. Amado is honest, hard working, caring and was open to listening and implementing our ideas."
