"It went great.  We were totally satisfied with the project from start to finish.  Ken Fritz, the owner, was very professional, accommodating, cooperative, and easy to work with during the whole process, and the other workers were obviously well trained and professional.  Poseiden did a very complete job of preparing the house for staining, applying the stain by spraying, then rolling the stain, and painting trim color. All of the work was neatly done, with no mess or sloppy work.  Cost was reasonable, and the work was  completed on schedule.  <br />"

"Rob is a very professional and fair guy. He repaired our fan which was coming down off the ceiling and the very next day he came back and replaced a 2x4 board on our front deck which had rotted. He is very meticulous and we were very pleased with his work. The fan turned out to be a problem than he had anticipated so took a bit longer, but his price was more than reasonable. We definitely recommend RT Specialties and will be calling him again ourselves."

"The owner is Rich Hempel. They are a small business. He does most of the work himself, and he has a helper. He was pretty professional, and he has done it for years. I do not have any problems; it's a wonderful shed. His price seemed pretty reasonable."

"Absolute Home Solutions is a fantastic company to work with. Greg takes great pains to be punctual and on schedule. His team consists of very pleasant, hard-working, professional people. He clearly takes great pride in his work and goes to great lengths to make the customer happy. Here's the story... <br /> Greg and his team agreed to lay sheet rock over existing ceiling in my home, in order to cover up outdated popcorn ceiling texture. We couldn't get into the house before the job began, and so he gave me an estimate based on my guess as to the square footage. On the day the job began, he was there early, drywall in hand, ready to go. This was a difficult job because there was a lot of ceiling to replace and only a few short days to do it. He took on the challenge, and even worked all weekend to make sure the job got done for me. The last two nights of the job, he stayed late repairing minor blemished and finishing touchups. He also returned several times after he was finished and paid in order to check the work and provide additional cleanup on this messy job. In the end, the job got completed on time, and the new ceilings look great. His original estimate was a few hundred low, but that's to be expected since he had to put it together sight unseen.  <br /> I have a few more updates to do in this house, and I will definitely be calling Greg for them. He's now my go-to man for all future remodels.  <br />"

"Craftsman's was recommended by a neighbor. The designer, Kelly, was nice and easy to work with. She designed a pattern of tile and glass accents for the tub area with built in shelves. She worked with me on colors, found flooring that matched and helped with paint colors. I purchased the paint the and fixtures, they provided the rest. The workers were professional and worked with me on last minute changes. I was given enough notice for my plumber to come in at the necessary stages. The installer made an extra trip to ensure the shower curtain rod was installed correctly and even replaced the light fixure, which was not easy. From demolition to useable bathroom was 2 weeks. <br />"

"The cost was not unreasonable, and worth it for the quality with which it was done. This contractor takes pride in his work, and it shows. That's a win-win if you want the job done right."

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse repair projects in Kennewick, WA

You’ll know it’s time for a new shed roof if shingles curl or buckle, soft spots sag, or water stains appear inside. Moss or other plant growth on the surface is another red flag that moisture has breached the roofing layers. Replacing the roof quickly stops leaks from spreading, protects stored items, and saves you from costlier structural repairs down the road.

Choosing between a flat and a sloped shed roof comes down to climate, budget, and upkeep. A flat roof is cheaper up front, but still needs a slight pitch for drainage. A sloped roof sheds rain and snow more easily, lasts longer, and often needs less maintenance. Weigh your local weather patterns, the look you want, and how much time you’re willing to spend on upkeep before deciding.

A shed roof’s life span hinges on the material you choose and how well you maintain it. Most standard products last 15 to 30 years, while premium picks like slate or clay tile can protect the structure for 50 to 100 years. Regular inspections, fast fixes, and routine cleaning all help you reach the upper end of those ranges and keep your tools and gear dry year-round.
