"Great company with great people. We did a furnace/AC replacement. I asked about some items that would have increased the cost (new humidifier and air cleaner) and they explained why what we had was good and didn't try to up sell anything. I didn't have the same experience with a different company at another property. There were rebates available from ComEd and Nicor which they took care of for us. Additionally they reworked/built some duct work to provide even heating throughout the home."

"Well Angie get the with the times .Building Waters does it all and you don't have a drop down for furnace and AC unit. Furnace and AC tear out removal and a new HEIL system installed in less than 5 hours. Wow left my basement cleaner than when they got here. Couldn't be happier."

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

"Unique indoor Comfort Inc has been the provider for my HVAC for 14 years. They have always been highly professional and honest. They do not over sell. I know I can trust their word because they have done minor inexpensive repairs along the way. They have been able to trouble shoot issues that another company could not solve. They are easy to work with and trustworthy. They have kept my 3 AC/3 Furnaces units going. There are two original units which are over 25 years old and still working! If you want the job done right, go with Indoor."

"Repair Clinic sent me a water intake valve that had some scuff marks and an unnecessary fixture (which I thought nothing of, assuming it had been removed from a new dishwasher). When the part did not fix my dishwasher's issue, I ordered a circulation pump, which also failed to fix the issue, so I decided to return both parts. Repair Clinic blamed me for the scuff marks and extra fixture, which is unacceptable. They referenced their return policy which states that parts which have been installed cannot be returned, and denied me any form of refund. For all I know, the water intake valve was defective, and I have no recourse. Don't put any stock in the "No-Hassle 365-Day Returns" they proudly tout on their homepage. Instead, expect finger-pointing and uncaring dismissal. You are better off with one of their many competitors."

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Kenosha, WI

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
