Home Improvement
"HIired Serge Home Improvement, i for a partial remodel of the kids bath-new shower surround and flooring. During the time, I got the bid and he started work, the laundry room flooded and I asked if he could work on that too. Serge worked with the insurance adjustor and myself to bring the bid in at the insurance companies expectations. He had the laundry room up and running in a couple of days, with lovely new trim. This was a huge relief, as I had now washer for 2 weeks and laundry was piling up. Most of the bids I got for the bathroom work were in $15-$20K or more range. Serge's costs were reasonable and we agreed on what he'd provide and what I'd provide-tile and surround. When asked why the tub should be replaced he explained he wanted to make sure the plumbing was correct. He was right about that, the previous owner had "tiled" himself and done the plumbing. It was mess but Serge fixed it. Furthermore, he used lots of water proofing which gave me peace of mind as the kids splash like crazy. In 2 weeks, the bathroom was finished, and ready to use. I had him re-caulk my tub, and replace light fixtures in the dinning room and family room. It cost a small bit more than I budgeted, but having done remodels in the past I expected that. We are thrilled with the updated bathroom and new light fixtures. I a already discussing future projects with Serge. The best thing about Serge is his doesn't do mind doing projects on your house off and on. My previous contractor stopped taking my projects, because "projects to small and piece meal". Thankfully, Serge doesn't have that attitude."

"It was a pleasure doing business with these fine craftsmen from start to finish! The quality of their work was far beyond what I expected. I was so impressed with their work ethic and professionalism. They truly listened and were collaborative through the entire build. Each day they were on-site, they worked very hard and with a cheerful attitude as well! My new custom shed is exactly what I wanted and I would hire them again in a heartbeat."

"I find it extremely rare that I hire a contractor, and I feel moved enough with their work and value that I write a review. My reconstruction job wasnâ t huge nor was it small. It wasnâ t extremely complicated, but neither was it a cakewalk. Jim came in and we had an extremely productive conversation that set clear expectations. I interviewed three companies and I got the best feeling from JNSP because although I always love to hear a vendor, tell me yes to everything I do realize sometimes my expectations are a little unrealistic, and context of what my outcome versus cost is. Iâ ve learned a part of this process is that I have to do a little bit of research and I have to ask questions so that I understand exactly what the expectation is. You canâ t know everything about everything and when youâ re not well-versed on the job, youâ re asking someone to do it helps for you to do a little bit of research and ask questions and Jim ended up being grade and answering those questions and actually providing a little bit more information so that I had a better understanding of what I was asking to be done. JNSP what is not the cheapest, nor were they the most expensive. I wanted to wait until a month after the job is complete so that Iâ d have a better idea of how I felt about the project completion. JNSP exceeded my expectations. They followed through on all aspects of the project and that they had to bring in a subcontractor, they did a fantastic job with supervising that subcontractor and explaining what was going on. I didnâ t have to worry about the contractor while on my property as JNSP had obviously did a good job in explaining to the contractor what the expectations were of the job as well as how to respect me and the people in the office around the construction site. I could see that every effort was made to contain the mess of construction and cleanup was thorough. Final invoice is exactly what was expected. Working with Jim was a pleasure. Very professional. Very communicative. Since this was reconstruction sometimes there are unforeseen issues and Jim identified this early and gave me options that worked for me. And there was never a time where I needed an answer, or had a question that Jim didnâ t reply in a timely manner. I suspect that JNSP is the quality that it is because of the personal commitment of their ownership. Seeing the work that Jim did and the work that their contractor did makes me think that they can handle almost any size job. Thanks to Angi and thanks to JNSP. Iâ ll be telling my friends about you. Iâ ll always suggest that as someone doing the hiring do a little bit of research so that you know what you are really asking for. This will make any relationship with a vendor much better for both sides."

Bathroom Remodel, Kitchen Remodel
"A complete bath remodel, with so many possible combinations and price-points, became extremely confusing to design. Firms would give free estimates and make various suggestions, but ultimately leave us a wide range of possible outcomes. Millie at Kitchen & More, was able to hear our needs/wants and advise us on designing our dream into reality. Keeping budget and function within limits, She carefully offered suggestions where to get the most from materials and invest to enjoy our bath. Vera attended to all the details of construction, build ordering, scheduling -including several adjustments late in the project. Anton (an artisan craftsman) worked diligently and made quick progress each day. He is a marvel at adapting to unforeseen discoveries, with sensible solutions. Journeyman level attention to detail was apparent at each step of the remodel. We now thoroughly enjoy our new bath, using all the high-end features -and just looking at it. We are so completely satisfied with Kitchen & More, that we look forward to our next project with this team."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
