"From start to finish, my experience with Rogers Basement Waterproofing was the the kind of experience we all hope for when hiring a professional. I contacted Rogers initially to get an idea of how to start addressing external moisture issues around my home’s foundation. My plan was to start by having new downspout/sump drainage lines installed, but my goal was to find a trusted company I could have confidence in for addressing future foundation/basement issues that are inevitable in aging homes. Shortly after my initial call, Nick contacted me. At our appointment he arrived promptly and took the time to listen to all my concerns. He was so knowledgeable, patient, and easy to communicate with. He answered my millions of questions, and I never felt rushed or pressured. In fact, I felt so impressed with that consult that I signed a contract on the spot—something I never do—for installation of drainage lines. The day before the scheduled work, Nicole—the Office Manager—contacted me to confirm and answer any questions I might have. I did have a request concerning one of the lines, and she relayed that request as soon as our call ended. Within minutes, I was contacted by Nick that my request was noted. Nicole was so incredibly nice that it further confirmed that I’d chosen the right company. On the scheduled day, the 4 man crew arrived on the dot. Shortly afterward, Nick stopped by to see how the work was going and to see if I had any questions/concerns. The crew, Zach, Craig, Hunter, and Josh were the hardest workers ever and couldn’t have been more friendly and pleasant. All four, and Nick, went out of their way to put my mind at ease about the process. The crew are more than skilled workers, they are craftsmen. They did meticulous work and went above and beyond. While routing a line to avoid tearing up a garden bed, a huge rock had to be hacked out of the ground. It’s now a cool garden feature since one of the crew kindly offered to wash it off and haul it over to one of the garden beds! The terrific crew were so efficient that the work was completed in under four hours. You literally cannot see where the trench was dug. Last night, we had a gulley washer rainfall. My neighbors probably thought I had lost my mind standing in the street in the rain in the dark with a flashlight—but it was so great watching the rainwater pouring out of the new drainage pipe ? The entire experience with the folks at Rogers felt like I was working with family. Just amazing. I’m so happy to have found a trusted company to turn to if future foundation/ basement issues arise. "I have some level of disappointment because Acculevel was unable to lift the patio back to its original position. That being said, I think the challenges they encountered would have been encountered by anyone else, and some of the other one-man mudjacking operations who wanted to use buckets or wheelbarrows to carry slurry back to my patio probably would have given up earlier. I chose Acculevel because they use foam instead of slurry (which should last much longer), they had a 300 foot hose solving problems with access to the backyard (I live on a steep slope with retaining walls), and I had more confidence selecting them compared to independent one-man operations who do mudjacking. Their price wasn't the highest bid I received but it wasn't the lowest. I thought it was fair given the foam is a higher quality product. The crew actually arrived an hour early, which actually wasn't ideal but not a big deal (a call would have been nice). They worked hard and I suspect they were there much longer than they had originally envisioned. They did a nice job sealing all cracks when they were done with a high-quality crack filler which most of the mudjacking guys told me they don't do. The good crack filler can be messy and difficult to work with so this was a nice little bonus. Although they couldn't get the patio back to where it was, they worked hard to do the best they could without risking damage to the retaining wall. At least with the foam they use, I have confidence it won't sink anymore."

"We have had two vertical cracks in our basement foundation since we purchased our house in 1997.  The large crack had been repaired by a company, I guess I will not name, when my in laws owned the house.  We had it repaired again by the same company about a year ago.  At that time the foreman on the job explained that sooner or later we would have to have one side of the house piered at a cost of approximately $13,000 - $15,000.  He tried hard to get me to commit to having the repairs scheduled.  We had another company tell us we had to do the same thing for about the same price. <br />    <br /> I saw an article written by Mike suggesting having your foundation inspected by a structural engineer before calling a contractor, and I had also spoke with him at the home and garden show about the same issue.  I decided to call Mike to have him inspect our house.  I phoned Mike on a Friday and made an appointment with BPG for the following Monday.  Mike responded at the time scheduled.  He inspected the issues we were having and made recommendations for fixing the problems.  None of which involved digging up around half my foundation and jacking up the house costing thousands of dollars.  The recommendations were pretty simple and one of them I could do myself with a little time and effort. <br /> I would recommend Mike's services to anyone.  He was professional, responded in a timely manner and I had the engineering designs in two days.  Hiring a structural engineer is the way to go before contacting a contractor.  I would have been out thousands of dollars and my foundation problems would not have been fixed. <br />"

"There were no problems. We've had rain several times since the repair and have not had a leak. We got estimates from three "A"-rated companies. Each company explained the same procedure. We went with The Basement Guys because their price was less than half what the first company quoted and several hundred less than the second company. The second company offered a teeny discount if we signed a commitment to use them. We're glad we didn't accept the offer. The worker arrived on time, was very polite and got the job done in a very reasonable time frame. We would hire them again"

"Everything went as planned; workers were invariably polite, professional and just flatly first rate. They showed up when they said they would, informed me if they weren't coming due to inclement weather, and the job (a considerable amount of work) was done in the amount of time they estimated almost to the day. Concrete replacement work was carefully done. <br /> <br /> I would add: there was no hard sell, no slick reports: just a professional who came to the house, did the estimate, and stated when the work would begin. They were slightly more expensive than some local firms, but I appreciated that they didn't waste my time suggesting cheaper "band-aid" approaches to what was a very serious problem. They looked at the situation, said what needed to be done, explained everything clearly and succinctly. And, they guarantee their work for the life of the structure."

"<p>Just wanted to drop a line or two and let you all know how impressed we were with both your workmen and their work.  In today's society, you just don't find companies that really do a great job, they usually just do enough to "get by".<br /> <br /><br /> <br />At times, without their knowledge, I was home and could hear some of the men talking.  Much to my surprise, their language and subject matter were always appropriate.  Don't find that much in the labor force today!  It spoke volumes to me.  When they did speak with us, they were always very kind and informative.<br /> <br /></p> <p>The work that was performed consisted of excavating the dirt to gain access to the footings on both sides of the foundation.  On the inside, they had to bust out the concrete floor and hand dig to the footing in order to install their brackets for the "unified lift system".  After installing the brackets, they attached special hydraulic equipment to the brackets which drove 3" diameter<br /> <br />pipes down to bedrock.  Next, they attached a hydraulic jacking system to each pier location.  Using their special vehicle with a unique hydraulic pumping system they attached hydraulic lines to each location and were able to do a controlled lift.  From what we understand, your company is one of the only ones that can perform this "unified lift".<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />We were taking pictures daily and emailing them out to family and friends who could not believe their eyes!  They started out making our basement look like a bomb went off and when they were done it was swept and looking very nice!<br /> <br /><br /> <br />All this to say that the work done was absolutely astonishing!  We will highly recommend EHM to everyone that we hear may need this type of work completed.<br /> <br /><br /> <br />Thanks so much again.  We were dreading having this work completed, but you all made it so much nicer by your<br /> <br />expertise, kindness, and professionalism.</p> <p>Mike and Cheryl <br /> <br /></p> <br />"
