"I have had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with this company. I paid $650 for a permit back in September, yet the permit was not actually submitted until December 18. During that time, I was falsely told I needed to pay an additional $133 city fee. I later created my own city account and confirmed that the only fee ever paid on the permit was $133, proving that information was incorrect. I was also told I needed to sign an affidavit for the permit. I signed it and left it with them, but they never submitted it to the city, forcing me to go myself and pay another $134 out of pocket just to move things forward. On top of that, I gave them a $3,000 rush check for fence materials, yet the permit still was not in place. Recently, they told me they would be coming to dig the fence holes after I clearly explained that a city inspector was scheduled to meet me on-site to sign off on the permit and inspect the holes. I arrived to find that no holes were done, leaving me"

Customers say: Quick response

"We hired NORO Lawn Care for a full landscape installation at our building complex in Kendall, and the transformation was incredible. What impressed us most wasn’t just the final result (which was beautiful), but how smooth and professional the entire process was. Roberto and his team gave us complimentary renderings of everything that was going to be done, which made it easy for the board and residents to visualize the changes before work even began. They stayed on schedule, on budget, and communicated every step of the way. The residents are thrilled with the new look—it feels like a brand new property. Easily one of the best vendor experiences we’ve had."

"Excellent. Dave came out to give us an estimate and described our situation as a "hot mess". He spent a lot of time going over what needed to be done. He called his crew chief to discuss the job and sent me a work order later that day describing the job."

"I’ve hired Soso Remodeling for various projects over the years, including kitchens, bathrooms, decks, and porches, and I’ve never been disappointed with Octavian's workmanship. Each project required different materials like ceramic, porcelain, marble, quartzite, and other natural stones, along with unique layouts, and Octavian has handled everything with expertise. Communication has always been clear from the start, which ensures there are no misunderstandings or issues during the project. I’ve always been impressed by the quality of his work, his attention to detail, and his ability to adapt to the specific needs of each job. "Just wrapped up a pool deck and pool resurfacing project with Ross Services. I’ve managed my fair share of much larger commercial construction projects so I’m well aware of the quality and performance spectrum one might encounter with any contractor. I can honestly say that I don’t remember a project that went this smoothly. Joel was a pleasure to deal with, his crew knew the assignment and executed well, and they were all responsive when I had questions or suggestions about the project. I don’t expect any issues now that the project is done but if something did come up,I am very confident that Joel will make it right. A great experience overall and would definitely hire them again."

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Key Biscayne, FL

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
