They got the permits, enlarged the patio, poured the concrete and custom built the enclosure.  It is wonderful. The D&D team are so professional, friendly, and perfectionists. "Called Jennings Aluminum for a quote to build a screened sun room and a complete screen room around my pool.I had a nightmare with Island Paradise Builders (Joel and Brenda Simmonds) who put the pool in and and quot;forgotand quot; to call the inspections and didn't build as per the permit. Having fired them I was lucky to find Jeff because he put me in contact with trustworthy local tradesmen and gave me a very reasonable quote that I accepted. The work was sheduled and on the start date they turned up with half the room fabricated and started the installation. All went perfectly.Everything was left clean and tidy every evening. "I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. "2020 has passed and we couldn't be happier with our completed first floor project, thanks to Jim Rutherford Construction. Jim was willing to tackle what other local well known contractors were either unwilling to consider or bid so high as to be unaffordable. Our project proved to be a technical challenge from the onset, raise the ground floor by almost a foot of concrete, completely rebuild the first floor by installing 3 impact French doors, 3 impact doors and 4 impact windows, cut off support an internal staircase including modifying framing around a dumbwaiter, reframe and replace every exterior wall from 4' down. Plus an added surprise rebuilding and repairing 45' of a heavily spalled concrete tie-beam in less than a week. We're still amazed at how quickly and confidently Jim set about taking on the project, he seemed to have it figured out before we even committed to getting started. He knew just right carpenters and subs to assign the work to. Once they began, they never stopped till the project was completed. Workmanship was outstanding, inspections were a breeze. I commend Jim and his crew for the quality of work and attention to detail, no shortcuts taken, stainless hardware/fasteners throughout and only pressure treated lumber. Add them all up and we have a completely new remodeled permitted downstairs ready to withstand the elements. It is without hesitation we'd recommend Jim Rutherford Construction for any project or home construction. Professional, polite and a pleasure to do business with."

"This is a follow up to my January 31, 2022 review of Affordable Screen Enclosures in Pompano Beach, Florida. After reading the review the owner Pavel asked that we contact him which we did. We met and negotiated a mutual agreement to terminate the contract. Pavel was forthcoming and professional. He responded to all subsequent phone calls and answered all of our questions. Understandably due to Covid and supply shortages businesses are having a tough time."

"We had an electrical problem where we knew there was a short or something somewhere but my husband was pretty confident that he had searched everywhere and he couldn't find it. The guy came in and he found it immediately. He walked in our kitchen and he knew what it was because he knew obviously knew the electrical codes and so on. It happened that there was a short some where in our doorbell. It was a little doorbell thing that was in our kitchen and he was able to fix it. He had to get some parts and things like that and he had to replace the doorbell. Our doorbell wasn't working and we didn't know it. It was kind of like of an emergency job in a way because there was a buzzing sound and a burning smell. That was basically some electrical repaired. Then we wanted to have a light put on an island in the kitchen. They literally had to go into the ceiling, go into the walls to wire it. He had to cut holes in certain places of the wall and we have textured walls. When he put back plaster on it, he was very much of a perfectionist about it. It needed to be repainted of course but the texture doesn't look like any holes were ever cut. The light that we put over the island was 2 lights on a bar, so it had to be exactly level. It wasn't in line with the island but he was a perfectionist. I also liked that when he went up into the ceiling to figure out if there was going to be enough support up there to hold the light- because it was on the heavy side and he went up and he said he had never seen this before. The way that they constructed these houses, they don't have like beams up above, they have like these steel girders. So he was comfortable enough to say, 'wow, I've never worked with this before'. He was competent enough at what he did. We'll recommend him to anybody. I thought the price was going to be much more than that, her charges 75 dollars per hour if I'm not mistaken and I think he worked more than what he charged us. It was clear he really knew what he was doing. We went without electricity in certain parts of the house because we were afraid of an electrical fire. He came on time. He had to come back on another day because he had to get some parts and stuff like that. He was there when he said he was going to be. I've already recommended them to other people. He met my standards."

"Dwight from Cornerstone Construction is the REAL deal! I am probably one of the pickiest people when it comes to contractors. I have never liked a single one, but Dwight is absolutely wonderful. They have remodeled our entire kitchen (removed our whole old kitchen and replaced it with a brand new kitchen including appliances, exhaust, backsplash, etc) - it looks perfect, which I NEVER say. I have no conflict of interest....I am tired of contractors who don't do a good job so when I found Dwight, I was ecstatic. I have used his company for the build out of my medical office and always refer our friends and family to him."
