"
I contacted Paul with All About Wood after reading his reviews on Angie's List. He sounded very knowledgeable and interested in my project. He took time to explain the pros and cons of different things I was considering for my kitchen update. Next, I sent Paul pictures of my kitchen and he was able to help me clarify many things by text message. Paul and his wife came to measure and go over the work he would do in detail and draw up a contract for us to sign.

Several weeks later they returned to complete the job. Chrissy primed and then painted the cabinet boxes to match everything that had been made and painted in the shop. Then they installed all the beautiful new doors, drawers and cabinet that had been made for my kitchen. They both did an excellent job and I could not be happier with my "new" kitchen. I went from dark brown (old) wood to a "lighter tan" color that brightens up my entire kitchen area.

Paul kept me informed along the way by sending pictures of the new cabinet drawing and finished product. They arrived on the prearranged date and were prompt and professional in their work. I have already asked that he measure my bathroom vanities for upgrades and frames for large unframed mirrors in my baths.

I feel that the quality I received for the money spent was outstanding and I look forward to many years of cooking and entertaining in my kitchen/living area.

"

"We had bought a house several years ago and within a few months of owning the house our basement leaked water. After several years of litigation and numerous episodes of the basement leaking we started looking for a contractor to fix the basement problem. After getting estimates from a half a dozen companies, we decided that we were going to use Alternative Building Concepts, Inc. I will say there estimate was a bit higher than the other ones, but you get what you pay for. Due to us being in a law suit at the time of the construction, I wanted a company that was professional and a company that was going to document the damage and their work. I further wanted a company that would be competent to testify in court if needed. They were all of above and more. We could not have asked for a more professional group of guys. Mr. Blankenship explained to us all the work that was going to be performed and provided us with a written estimates for each phase of the process. The price of the work quoted never changed.

When they started the work inside the basement it was amazing how neat they were, which was a concern of ours (especially drywall work). Once the outside work started it took longer than anticipated due to the weather (rain and lots of it), but the work was completed in a professional manner and throughout the process Mr. Blankenship kept us up to date with the process and any issues that arose. Once the work was completed everything was put back together neatly. After the work was completed several small issues arose and each time I called Mr. Blankenship, someone was there to fix it the same day. I would highly recommend Alternative Building Concepts, Inc. for any project.
"

"
He did an excellent job. At the time, he was managing the maintenance of an apartment complex, so he was only available on the weekends. However, the work was completed every weekend, including holidays (July 4 specifically). He kept us appraised of progress and tweaked his work along the way. For example, when he started we didn't think there was that much dirt and sediment on the boat launch. and we asked that the dirt be placed upon the upper level. Once we realized how much dirt there was, he changed the design of the wall to include deadmen (I think that's what he called them) to ensure the wall wouldn't collapse. He did a wonderful job and would periodically request we review his work to ensure we were happy. He is a hard worker and never sits still.

"

"I like the fact he was honest and very helpful with explaining to me exactly what I needed. He finished the job before his deadline . Not to mention he did a great job and it really helped the look of my house. I also decided to hire his company to replace my siding & build a deck. My house finally looks like the dream home I've always wanted. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again for any of my construction needs.
"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Kilsyth, WV

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
