"What I learned through this process is that no matter how good you are and how much experience you have building pools, it's still a multi-phased project that is dependent on the weather. I contracted with Prestige because they have 30+ years in the business. They know what to do and what not to do and advised accordingly. The pool was recently completed and is exactly what I wanted. The sales rep who worked on my pool design tied in the existing patio and created a great space for outdoor seating facing the pool and woods. Everyone who came out from Prestige was knowledgeable and friendly. I went with a vinyl liner in-ground pool because my neighbor who has an in-ground fiberglass pool recently paid $15k to repair it. I figured a liner replacement down the road is cheaper than a fiberglass repair. My pool was about half the total project cost. The other half consists of a head pump, extra concrete decking, stone wall, fence, cool deck coating with stone border around pool, and cantilever coping."

"Dave and his team were great. They worked efficiently, going above-and-beyond to make repairs and do a thorough job. Dave was on-site with the team every day making sure that all work was completed at a high standard. Any time he ran into an issue Dave would bring it to my attention, present possible solutions, and then we'd figure out the best option to move forward. A+ all around!"

"My husband bought a Casablanca Victorian fan in 1979, and it served us well for decades. When it no longer worked, we were in despair. Our choices were to find a new fan that wouldn't be nearly the same look and quality, or find a company that could fix a vintage Casablanca fan. This fan is absolutely beautiful, and we desperately wanted to get it fixed. Kalb Lighting came to our rescue, and our fan is absolutely as fabulous as ever!!! We could not be happier with the outcome....if Google allowed reviews higher than 5 stars, we would rate Kalb as a "10". Thank you, Kalb Lighting!! You've got us as a customer for life!"

"My contact at Metro Lighting, Sam, was extremely helpful and very professional in helping me select fixtures for our new home.  She helped me select lighting for an open concept living area where several fixtures needed to somewhat coordinate and helped me determine where I should concentrate my budget for the most impact.  I also consulted with an interior designer on my project, who helped me avoid some costly aesthetic mistakes - if you're doing an entire home, I don't think you can get away with just using Metro's people.  Also, I found the selection at Metro - while perhaps the largest in the St. Louis area, where so many lighting stores have closed - to be somewhat limited, particularly with more traditional fixtures.  And lighting fixtures are one of those things that you really need to see in person, because they can look so cheap.  I wound up getting a few fixtures at another local store. <br />"

FAQs for swimming pool remodeling projects in Kimmswick, MO

You can modernize your pool by adding features like underwater LED lighting, mosaic tiles, or a beach entry for easy access. Incorporating amenities like fire pits, waterfalls, or installing energy-efficient equipment can also give your pool a contemporary upgrade.

To make your pool more energy-efficient, consider resurfacing it with a lighter color to reduce heating needs and evaporation. Installing a variable-speed pump can significantly lower energy consumption. Switching to low-energy LED lights not only saves power but also enhances ambiance. Additionally, updating old plumbing pipes can improve efficiency and reduce water loss.

A pool remodel typically takes between four and eight weeks to complete. The exact duration depends on factors such as the size of your pool, the complexity of the renovations, and the availability of materials and contractors. Planning ahead and coordinating with a professional pool remodeler can help ensure your project stays on schedule.

Remodeling your pool can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you plan to sell your home. A pool remodel can increase your property's value and enhance its appeal to potential buyers. Upgrades like modern finishes, energy-efficient systems, and added features like lighting or fountains can transform an outdated pool into a backyard oasis.

Resurfacing a pool involves applying a new finish to the existing surface to address cosmetic issues and minor structural concerns. Replastering is a more extensive process that replaces a deeper layer of the pool's structural base, impacting both stability and appearance. After replastering, you can choose from various finishes to enhance the design and longevity of your pool.
