They we unable to complete one side of the house because the natural gas line is right next to the foundation. When the gas company moves the line the remainder of the project can be competed. "I wanted to follow up my earlier post now that the job has been completed. The work to be done, our house was built in 1968 and there was a gap between the basement wall and the foundation that needed to be filled. We also needed to encapsulate the space. We were in the process of selling our home, and this issue came up in the home inspection. As anyone who has bought or sold a home this summer knows, we found out all the contracting firms are booked solid. We offered to work with the buyer, making repairs after close via escrow, but the buyer rejected and the offer was withdrawn. We decided to go through with the repairs recommended in the inspection report, including the work listed for the crawl space before relisting. We were concerned we would end up in the same situation, unable to make repairs in the inspection report. We had already purchased our new home and were carrying two mortgage payments. "I called American Basement Solutions with issues I was having in my crawl space and they set up a time for someone to come out and look at the issues. Daniel (a family member of the family that ownes the business) called ahead of time and let me know when he was on his way to my home, He was on time and did a thorough investigation of my crawl spaces after which we discussed what needed to be done and various options to accomplish what I wanted.
