"Ryan was awesome to work with. Punctual--called each day before he came. Not only did he come in exactly as quoted--he deducted for two chairs because they didn't take him as long as he thought. He was methodical and meticulous. I would (will) definitely use him again!"

"We hired Lex Construction for siding replacement and exterior paint, which included replacing two windows, some general construction to repair bulges in the studs and some roofing/fascia board repair. Of all the companies we had bid, we really felt like Mike listened to our vision and didn’t feel the need to rearrange it to his preference. He also gave us some great suggestions and recommendations, some which we decided to go ahead with and some not. The price was really reasonable, and we ended up adding the front deck replacement mid-project. Both Mike and Troy were responsive and courteous, and did a great job, as well as the contractors that covered the roofing and paint. A few minor details were missed between what we discussed and what they executed, but nothing major. Overall we were really happy with them, and plan to use them again for additional projects we have in mind. We highly recommend them for your next project!"

"Hamish Murray did an incredible job on our home renovation, upgrading our kitchen and adding on a new bedroom and bathroom. We know it was a busy time for everyone, with supply chain disruptions and people booked to the max, and their project management kept the project going and on time. They were very professional and were responsive to us. Anytime we had a concern, they worked to alleviate our questions and provide a plan and updated timetable. All of this while still staying close to their original completion date and maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship. As soon as we settled back in after the completion of the project, it felt like the house should have always been this way. We have more than enough space, and everything is so functional - our kitchen is incredible! The kids are loving having their own spaces as well, and we thank you deeply for making this project a reality. We would recommend Hamish Murray and we would use them again in the future for additional work on our house."

"NW Siding was great to work with. They gave me a bid very quickly and I was able to schedule the work within a reasonable time. The project manager communicated throughout the entire process. The workers that came out and did the work we very good and cleaned up the entire work site ever night. They completed the project on time. I would hire these guys again. You will not be disappointed. I got bids from a few other siding companies, and while they were not the cheapest, they were the best to work with"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Lake Oswego, OR

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
