"My house had an old, wooden garage door that was rotting so it was time for a new one.
I called Total Garage Repair and they came out to my house very quickly to provide an estimate. The guy that came out was very nice: he explained everything and answered all my questions. The quote for the new door and installation was perfect - cheaper than a local big box store. I paid the deposit that day (it was a Tuesday); I was advised that I needed to clean out the end of the garage, and that they would install the new door that Friday, or the following Monday, depending on when the door arrived. 
3-4 days sounded great, so I was pretty happy, and cleaned out the garage that night. 
Unfortunately. Friday came and went, with no word. Then Monday came and went, again with no word. I waited until Wednesday to call Total Garage Repair, and talked to someone on the phone who was very apologetic, but my job had been put in the completed pile... without it actually being completed! I'm not sure how this happened, but he was very nice about it (it wasn't his fault) and he apologized multiple times. He then rescheduled my appointment to get my door installed, a week later. 
The following Wednesday, the installer called me when he was an hour away, letting me know he where he was. He showed up exactly when he said he would. (My appointment time was between 9:30AM and 11:30AM, and he was there at 9:30AM). He told me the work would take 2.5 - 3 hours, and again, he was right on schedule. Before he left, he explained how to take care of the garage door and springs and showed me how to use the lock on the door, in case of a power failure. He took the old door away,  and even asked if I needed help moving my lawn mower back inside the garage.
Even with the slight mishap, it took only 2.5 weeks from project start (when I called them to schedule an appointment for a estimate on January 15), give me an estimate (on January 19th), and then come out a second time to actually install the new door (on February 3rd). 
Overall, this was a good experience, and I would recommend Total Garage Repair.
