He repaired it after informing us what the issue was and then tested the washer to make sure it was repaired. It has been working and is great. A previous repairman gave us a diagnosis over the phone that it was the motherboard and said it would be the $250 part and another $80-$100 for the repair...and then did not show for the appointment. Our bill with N & J APPLIANCE REPAIR LLC was $60.00!! He found that the drain was completely clogged and it was triggering error codes, so we needed no parts and he only charged for his time....and a very fair charge as well!!
