He was knowledgeable and gave me what I thought was a fair quote of $1,800. The two other quotes I got for the same job were for $2,950. and $4,800. I am very familiar with home construction work as I have lived in my home since 1961 and have had 2 major add-ons and several inside remodels done during the past 59 years. Lifetime Construction showed up precisely on time for appointments ( a rarity among contractors) and performed the work as contracted. I would definitely use them again. "Colin built and stained a custom designed 10x12 pergola as part of our backyard landscaping. The pergola has trim on the bottom and top, and custom lattice on one and a half sides.  We wanted the pergola to run part of the way along the house side to cover the water meter but still give access to the meter if needed by the meter reader, and Colin ingeniously determined that the side could be hinged and have hidden latches, allowing it to swing open if needed. <br /> He was open to our ideas for the design, and added suggested options for how to proceed. He checked in with us as the work proceeded to double check the spacing of the top pieces of wood, the height of the top, the stain color, etc, which was really helpful to achieving the end result we had envisioned.  <br /> He was punctual, polite, friendly, cleaned up each day, and his workmanship is excellent.  <br /> We highly recommend. <br />"
