"Leavings Concrete enlarged an existing patio and then installed a stamped surface over the entire area. Don Leavings was incredibly patient with me, even when I didn't know what I wanted. He gave me multiple options, provided advice, and allowed me to make changes. The work was done in a timely and professional manner. During and after the work numerous neighbors have stopped by to admire the work and offer their stamp of approval! While not the cheapest, I highly recommend Leavings Concrete for high quality work and excellent professional service. KWM"

"Allied helped us out with replacing our sidewalk with brushed concrete, and putting in pavers for our walkway and patio. The results are better than we expected! Matt and Noah were a pleasure to work with, and we were thankful they could continue to safely work during the pandemic. Would definitely recommend them to anyone else looking to do the same kind of work we did!"

"The existing deck had mostly curved edges and was bordered with flower beds. The middle level was a curved walkway that connected our existing patio with a path leading to the side of the house. Our request was to remove this deck and replace it with a two level brick patio that would be shaped like the deck. I made the mistake of assuming that this was communicated to those doing the actual construction. Several of what should have been rounded edges were squared and the edge of the top level that replaced the original walkway was poorly positioned so that was too narrow where it met the existing patio. This was 'fixed' with an improvised jag in the edge of this level, so we lost the smooth arc of the original deck (see attached pictures). Additionally, the edge of the patio that should have been parallel to the house was skewed so that it was 13 inches closer to the house on one end vs the other. My low grade for professionalism is mainly for their lack of pre-planning the overall project and conferring with me before they began (in retrospect, I should have insisted on that) and for the way they treated our yard. We have a creek behind us and they used it as a garbage dump for pieces of cut brick, soft drink cans, and plastic water bottles. Additionally, they left pieces of crushed concrete base in the flower beds, and left stains on our existing patio from spilled concrete mix."

"Very efficient. Took a couple days to tear down,  3-4 days to rebuild.. I had lots of bricks left fro m building house 40 years ago, which they used, plus what they could save on tear down..  Very pleased. <br />"

"I am exceptionally happy with the quality and price of the work performed in our yard! <br /> The price included removing existing flag stone from around our pool and excavation. They moved sprinkler heads when needed. <br /> The workers are well trained and did a beautiful job. My yard was left tidy each day. Anyone who's seen the work has commented on how good it looks. Nothing was a hassle or to hard. It really seemed like everything was included...no hidden fees along the way. <br /> I have had a lot of contractors in and around our house over the last year, and this is the first time I feel I can write about a positive experience from start to finish. I would use them again and I will recommended them to all my friends. <br />  Thank you Hou-stone! <br /> <br />"

"Kirsch performed exactly as agreed. They said they could do a full garden makeover for our front entrance in 2 days and they did. New plants, new stone edgings, new plants, a low maintenance black rock base, landscape lighting to improve sidewalk safety and re-routing water sprinklers as needed resulted in a much needed change for the church. The crew was prompt, polite and put in a good day’s work each day. As an added bonus, they started on a second makeover project at another entrance by installing all new stone edging. This project will require some drainage changes and should be completed by summer. When all is finished, we are in discussions with Kirsch about handling on-going garden maintenance. The congregation has been very complementary of the change. It is low maintenance, very attractive and ties into the Kirsch Landscape design of the associated school on the property. This project not only provides a refreshing, uplifting welcome to visitors, it also helps minimize garden maintenance. I would invite anyone in the Houston area to come look at our garden to see the excellent work of this company. Visit us at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 2929 Woodland Hills Drive, Kingwood, TX 77339."

"Sales people John Nicholas and Christi Curran came to our house to prepare the estimate. We selected color and paving stones and the pattern. Christi was in training that day. After that, we dealt only with Christi. She was very prompt and friendly when I called her with questions. The proposal arrived via email in a few days. Once we made our decision, Christi came back to the house to have me sign the contract and pay a deposit. About a week later, we found out when we'd be on their schedule. The work from start to finish took two days. The uniformed Paver Connection crew of 5 or 6 men was professional, efficient, obviously experienced, and kept a neat job site. I was impressed with their attention to detail - as in getting stones to fit just right. I expected to sacrifice plants that were growing on the corners of the deck, but they completed the job and the plants were untouched. Amazing. We are very pleased with Paver Connection. They did a great job."

"I am very proud of what they did, the stuff they did is suppose to last a life time and it is skid proof. It is like a granite looking surface. You can choose the look. This is more of an epoxy type versus the patio."

"Very professional work, good quality. The overlay and stamped tiles look very nice. The pergola was very nicely done, and a good quality wood was used. My concrete deck was expertly sloped, I had no issues with recent very heavy rains. Interaction with the owners (father and son) was very easy, exceptional responsive to my emails, I had a response within one to two hours typically."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Lake Jackson, TX

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
