"These guys were great. Although they were booked a few months out, it was worth the wait. Our front yard looks fantastic now with new sod and restored plant beds. They also built raised beds for vegetable gardening on a hard scape installed alongside our house, which have drawn several compliments already. Mark responded quickly to our questions and helped us stay within our budget. They showed up on time with a crew of 8 and got things done within the stated timeline. Importantly, they cleaned up all of their trimmings, etc., and left our driveway cleaner than it has been in years. If you want a top-notch professional job done with no worries, call Full Throttle!"

"Mitch walked around with us, reviewed our concerns and developed a list of suggested improvements. Although it was at a very busy time for them he come out and completed all of the suggested changes one afternoon such that our landscaping would be properly irrigated during the upcoming summer. All of the company people we dealt with were very helpful and responsive and our system is in the best condition it has been in years."

"I purchased a $99 for Sprinkler Startup deal to get my sprinklers set up for the summer.  He was on-time and very professional.  Got right to work.  Within about 30 minutes he had turned on water, set up timer, and examined all the sprinklers. <br /> I was told there were a few that were broken and had to be replaced. He quoted me around $250 to get everything fixed.  He was out there about two hours digging sprinklers up and replacing them. He even showed me old sprinkler heads so I could see what was wrong. It was more than I was planning on spending but figured it needed to be done and I didn't want to do it myself later.  I was pretty happy with the work at the time. <br /> The sprinklers were set to go off early morning and late at night so I never saw how they were working. One night I had to let dogs out and noticed that the sprinklers in the back yard were not set up correctly. The length of the water was too long so the weeds were getting watered instead of the lawn. That weekend I checked the set up and sure enough it made sense why I was starting to see dry spots in the front and back yard.  I spent over 2 hours replacing about 6 sprinkler heads and resetting the patters for the sprinklers.  Should have saved the $250 they charged me since I ended up doing it myself anyways. <br />"

"This is over a one and half year period. It may be at least partially my fault for staying with them so long. Mulching beds - were asked to place 4 inches on beds; placed 8 and billed for latter. In the process covered and smothered multiple new plantings- many which I found after searching around. Since then each time they would blow and cover up small plantings. It made me really upset to go out and work in the garden and find suffocating plants every time. I removed bags of mulch (pictures below). They Installed two french drains for upper boggy area bypassing the main portion of yard with bog so it never drained. Oscar refused to rework despite thick standing mud and instead his crew just mowed over it damaging and compacting soil further. (picture below) Unsolicited, six workers came and performed several hours of pruning in early January 2017. Pruned buds off of spring flowering shrubs and then presented me with bill! This was several hundred dollars despite being on a weekly plan that was billed monthly. It had not included all pruning work. I had not requested or scheduled this work and stopped them after three hours! Further more, I had a verbal agreement with Oscar for weekly scheduled work and billing. Nothing about a flat monthly fee was ever clarified with me. Attempts to discuss the discrepancy went nowhere as calls from Lillian were not answered and she does not text. This year, I was billed for an entire month of service when in fact the workers came once. I disputed the bill and they would not negotiate. They simply refused the partial payment. Workers speak no English which normally isn't a problem when communication is adequate, but it is not. They do not weed beds. Several areas of the yard have blackberry coming up (which is new), morning glory, and bamboo which the previous owner planted far off to the side. This was ignored for the duration of services and became established in a several areas. Get all terms in writing (Oscar said to me he didn't do contracts when the work was intially agreed upon in 2016). They clearly want it both ways - a monthly contract even when they take time off for three months in winter but get paid anyway, then do unsolicited work for which they will bill amply."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Lakebay, WA

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
