"Robert took on a very difficult project. Our home is a Chicago landmark, and thus we needed to handle our old clay tiles with care; individually removing them and cleaning them so that the roof could be replaced. The roofers then reinstalled the entire clay system after removing an old obsolete chimney and tuckpointing another one. They also sanded down or repaired many aging soffits and fascia, replaced that which had been destroyed or rotted. We had a number of changes along the way, so we had to negotiate as we went and Robert was reasonable in those discussions. As a final note, we quoted out five contractors. Two said our project was too difficult. Two others didn't return my requests for the proposed work; and I wasn't surprised given how pessimistic they were about their ability to accomplish our project. For approximately 2 months I had been trying to get an idea of what the problems were that had led to my soffits rotting out and detaching from their underlying structures. "There was a long delay (several months, all told) to get the work done, thanks to the rush of pandemic home improvement projects. But I appreciated that the staff from McCann were communicative and did their best to estimate when things would be done. When I got the call that my custom doors had finally arrived, they were able to install next day! Which was great timing as it was installed just before a long cold snap. The new door and storm door are great - so well sealed that not only are there no drafts, but there's so much less noise coming in from the street. The installers were polite and respectful and did a great job, including matching the color of the interior caulking to the tile floor in our entryway perfectly. My only complaint is the interior framing was a little dirty and banged up, though they provided touchup paint that I used to clean it up."

They did a great job at our place, replacing a very long seamless gutter, sealing several glass blocks in the roof, and correcting some masonry work as well (that they brought up as a potential issue in the future). With heavy rains there was water leaking into the house and that is fixed now! Very happy overall with them and Sunny was great to work with."
