"My garage door springs broke making it difficult to open. It took 2 of us to muscle it up and then use poles to prop it open so we could move out our cars. Patrick & Anthony were able to come out the same day and fix it. They were very nice and they got the job done in a fast, efficient manner. Since being a homeowner these last 5 years, Iâ ve called them a couple of times in the past and theyâ ve never let me down. I highly recommend this family owned business."

"Dylan is the best very knowledgeable and professional. He let my wife and I know exactly what the issues were and have us several options to remediate our issue. He was quick but thorough and is very good at his job. I would highly recommend Good Golly Garage Doors. PS: Get the team business cards so we can recommend them to our friend and family."

"I purchased an opener, which came with a wall controller, although the old one would've worked fine. The tech didn't tell me that, so I was charged for an unnecessary item. The tech said that the new controller would not have a digital display, which I didn't need. However, he did not tell me that it also lacked a motion sensor, which would turn on the lights when I entered the garage. My old one had a sensor and a display. The tech threw out my old one without asking my permission. I had to place more that five calls to reach a manager to complain. In the end, they agreed to waive the service fee of $60, but charge me $135 for a controller that they should've installed from the start. I can get basically the same controller from Amazon for $47. I urge readers to avoid this firm as they up-sell from the start, fail to disclose important information, and provide unsatisfactory service after they get your money. I received an auto-generated response. As noted above, I already had spoke with a manager, who tried to cheat me further."

FAQs for garage door opener repair or adjustment projects in Las Vegas, NV

Garage door costs range somewhat broadly, depending on the type you choose. However, you’ll also need to factor in labor costs, which vary from state to state and between pros.

A chain driven operator costs between $150 - $250. For a belt driven operator it is usually $160 - $450. A screw-driven operator is between $250-$500.

To keep garage door opener repair costs down, you should check that the whole apparatus is working normally on a regular basis. This means making sure that the tracks of your door are greased and fully operational, and that the door itself is in good condition.

Installing a new garage door opener runs from $250 to $500 at least. If your repair costs are close in cost to that range or if your garage door is 10 to 15 years old, you should probably replace it instead of repair.

However, it’s a better idea to fix your garage door opener if it’s less than eight years old or if repair costs are less than replacing.

Garage door openers usually last between 10 and 15 years. However, several factors contribute to how long your garage door opener can last. If you schedule regular inspections and practice proper care, you can maximize your garage door opener’s lifespan, saving money in the long run. As a general rule, practice the same care for your garage door opener as you would the door itself.

These tell-tale signs indicate your garage door is going bad, including:

  • Not closing or opening at all

  • The door reversing when you try to open and/or close it

  • Inconsistent opening and closing; more noise than usual (grinding, scraping, or banging)

  • Sticking or stalling when you try to open or close it

If you experience one or more of these signs, it’s time to call a professional garage door repair service.
