I told him the dryer stopped heating and I needed help evaluating whether to repair or replace. Demario told me his fee was $90 for the evaluation. This price would be included in the repair if thatâ s the decision. Demario quickly got to work taking the dryer apart and in a short amount of time found the damaged heating element. Repair cost was determined and selected. Demario had to go pick up the part and returned to finish the repair. Unfortunately, the new heating element broke when power was applied to the dryer for a test run. We elected to start again in the morning after Demario obtained a new part. No extra charge for the second part. Second test attempt worked perfectly. Total cost was less than $300. Demario is fair and honest and shows up on time. "Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
