"We set an appointment with Adam from A1 sewer to have a sewer camera inspection for a home we were considering purchasing. Before the scheduled time Adam contacted us to ask if we were paying for the inspection or if the seller was. Against his own interests he told us that in the area we were considering purchasing the seller is required to provide a sewer inspection, a fact our realtor failed to inform us of. This may have cost him our business on this home but went a long way in gaining our trust. We did not end up purchasing the home, but when we put our next offer in we will be using A1 because they showed that they have our best interest at heart. I look forward to doing business with them in the near future."

"McVay's came out and did a two day sewer repair job for me. It could not have gone any better. They even moved the cast cement steps and handrail from the front and put it all back when they were done. Well done Mark, Austin, Jordan, Steve, Mike and Tyler. Whom ever moved the steps is a master at what he does. Did not believe it could be done! Thanks again McVays!!!"

"Talk about some great people. Had Joe do a sort of emergency job on Friday. The Cranberry water issue struck with a pin hole leak on my main supply line. While taking down ceiling tiles, I discovered the whole line had many green spots. He quickly fixed 20 feet of bad line with Pex lines and we are now back in business. Super nice and a great worker. Great price for the work with such short notice. Thanks, Reynolds Plumbing is on my list for all my plumbing needs!"

"Two days ago I noticed the stench of death in our basement. We figured an animal had died in the wall, but then my wife noticed a small puddle of blood next to the water heater in the basement. Obviously, a small animal had got caught in there and died. <br /> The first plumber I called told me to call a chimney sweep. The second one told me to call an exterminator. <br /> Thank god I called Park Plumbing. Mike answered and said he'd check with his boss to see if they do dead animal removals from water tank exhaust pipes. He called back within a half-hour & said yes and they could come out today! Said unless it was a bigger deal than just that, it would be the normal service call price of about $100. <br /> Mike ran a little late due to all the broken water pipe jobs from the recent "polar vortex" and sub-sub-zero temps we had last week, but that was fine with us, as we were just so thankful that they were able to come the same day to remove the animal because the stench was becoming unbearable and was permeating the whole house. <br /> Long story short, apparently the "polar vortex" caused a huge (at least 2 1/2 pounds) squirrel to try to get warm by coming down the exhaust vent. Mike pulled the poor thing out and we disposed of it and he re-attached the exhaust piping. <br /> After that ordeal, he also checked this & that and pointed out some minor things that should be taken care of (old water valve needs replaced, main water valve leaks, etc) and suggested we call later to schedule another appt to take care of those things. <br /> He gave us the bill and it turned out to be only $85 and he gave us the 5% Angies List discount for a total of $80. <br /> Overall, we could not be more pleased with the service and Mike in particular. He was very professional, responsive and did what had to be done to solve a very nasty problem. <br /> All we can say is, we found our plumber for any future jobs!"

"Try-County Plumbing has done multiple jobs for us over many years and we are always happy with their work. They’ve done several plumbing repairs (our house is older), installed a hot water heater, and replaced a portion of our external sewer line. Bob, the owner, is thorough and patiently explains what needs to be done and answers all of our questions. He works hard and even cleans up when he’s done. We’ve always found his prices to be very reasonable. We have recommended Try-County Plumbing to family and friends and will continue to do so."

"Adam did a great job replacing our water heater. He was easy to get a hold of, arrived on time, and was very professional throughout the appointment. We needed his assistance on three occasions. The first was to replace a main shutoff valve in our home. This was not an easy job since it was close to our wall, but he did a great job nonetheless with no issues. We also had him replace our water heater and clean our house trap. Overall, I think his pricing was very fair and competitive with others in the area. The house trap cleaning was right on par with the bigger businesses like Roto Rooter."

"Frank does good work and is honest. It is just him doing the work and taking calls and not a fleet of plumbers behind a front desk. He is a master plumber and his prices reflect that experience. He is responsive and gave me a quote before doing the work. I have also since contacted him about additional plumbing related questions and he was able to help guide me toward contacting the county about my sanitary sewer test records. He was under no obligation to help me, but he did so anyway. Unfortunately the work that I need done may require snaking a camera which is equipment that Frank does not have."

"We used Hapchuk's for a septic system inspection for a home we were under contract with. We only had a few days to get the inspection in and they made time to get us scheduled. The inspection was thorough and they pointed out many issues with the septic system. Based on the inspection, we decided to get out of the contract. Hapchuks probably saved us from a lot of anguish in the future."

"The main water line coming from the street into my house, through the basement floor, started to leak right where the pipe comes out from the floor. Because of this unfortunate location, the pinhole could not be plugged with something like a rubber band and a clamp. I called 3 plumbers to get their opinions and estimates. Sembower-Mikesell was very professional and transparent from the very beginning, providing 2 detailed estimates: one for the removal and replacement of just a short section of the line (~$1,550), and another for the replacement of the whole line (~20ft) from the water meter inside the house to where it connects with the city line (~$4,000). Both estimates clearly indicated what the plumber would have done, item by item, which made me comfortable to end up paying exactly what was in the estimate. The other plumbers had provided estimates for jobs that would have led to the same results, that is the replacement of a short section of the line around the pinhole, or of the whole line. However, although for the former repair the estimate was about $300 lower than that by Sembower-Mikesell, I decided to go with Sembower-Mikesell just because of the level of detail of their estimate. The day of the appointment, they showed up at the scheduled time and started to work right away. They dug a 1 ft deep, 2ftx2ft wide hole in the basement concrete floor, to expose the leaking pipe. They cut and remove a ~3ft long section around the pinhole, upstream the water meter. They replaced it with a new copper pipe. They also replaced the main valve and the pressure reducer with new ones. To comply with code, they installed an anti-backflow check valve downstream of the water meter and, since with that the circuit would have become a closed one, they had also to install an expansion tank at the water heater (which was also listed in the estimate). At the end, they filled the hole in the floor with sand and covered with an inch of concrete, to bring the floor as it was originally. The whole job took them about 6 hours. I was very happy with their professionalism, and for their availability in answering questions I had. I would certainly consider Sembower-Mikesell in the future, should I need plumbing work again. <br />"
