"Section of unfinished basement started getting some water coming in through cinder block wall. Existing narrow drain in place around walls with old sump pit area but no pump every installed by previous owner. Aaron performed estimate and did full assessment of area both inside and out (only contractor to check out the outside of the basement). Proposed using cove plate design, drilling holes in block and installing sump. Plan was if existing piping existed under existing drain area around floor, then this would be the solution. If not he included extra cost for full drain pipe installation. Crew redirected outside down spout underground and away from home most likely contributing to the problem. While breaking up floor they found existing piping so no extras required. Also while working they repaired crack in floor and any gaps in wall mortar. I was not home to supervise work and they could have easily said they installed new pipe without my knowledge. So very honest taking the best and most cost effective solution to problem. They did a great job, finished in 1 day, cleaned up workplace, and very professional. Also guaranteed work for life. Would definitely use them again in the future for any construction type work.
