"About 10 or 11 years ago, AC Paving installed a new asphalt driveway for us. Our original driveway was gravel and dirt. We were extremely please with the work and the price. The driveway has held up beautifully through the years, but it was looking like it needed sealant and we had a damaged area where water has frozen and thawed over and over. Today, AC Paving showed up at our home. They were in the neighborhood doing work and they remembered us from years ago. They immediately got to work and now we have a lovely, good as new drive. I highly recommend this company. They do good work, they clean up after themselves, and the owner is always on the job with his crew, seeing to every detail. "We were having difficulty keeping rain runoff from our driveway from entering our carport and ultimately draining down next to the basement foundation walls.  Al came out to give us an estimate and spent a lot of time assessing the pitch and condition of the driveway, and to offer possible solutions to our water problem.  He gave us a fair price for the solution that would completely resolve our water problem.  Al and his crew arrived on time early in the morning and began removing the top part of the driveway with a Bobcat in order to install a culvert drain pipe and drain in front of  the carport apron.  The crew showed expertise in regrading the pitch of the driveway to direct rain runoff, as well as paving around the new drain they installed.  They hand-crafted curbs along one side of the driveway and at the carport entrance to fully insure that water would go into the drain and away from the carport.  They also  excavated and repaved the driveway where it met the road so that it was a smooth transition between the two parts.  They thoroughly cleaned up and left  a beautifully crafted and much improved driveway.  Overall, we are very pleased with the professionalism and expertise of Al and his crew.  We would definitely use them again for our paving needs. <br />"

"Washington Pavements, LLC appear on the scheduled date, but not until after 1:00 pm. I would have preferred they told me I was the second job that day so I could plan accordingly, as I had to leave prior to finishing the job. The crew members were polite and worked quickly. The owner, Joe, performed the actual laying of the asphalt and his crews prepped and finished the job. The one concern I have is that I was quoted a 3.5" asphalt layer, compacted to 3.0". I observed almost the entire process, and I am sure that a few parts of the driveway do not have that much asphalt-I am now concerned I will be looking at a resurfacing sooner than expected, but that is still years away barring unforeseen issues. They do warranty their work for seven years if you use their sealcoating maintenance, which they recommend you do a few months after the initial job and then every two years thereafter (the seal coat is about twice the cost, but if done every two years is a wash when compared to other sealcoat companies in this area). Their pricing for a replacement driveway was on the lower end, not exactly the cheapest but the warranty exceeded the standard one year warranty offered by four other contractors."

"The overall process was exceptional. From the time the first crews arrived there was a constant concern in making sure that my property was well taken care of. While the process was a meassy one, the foreman made sure that they left the job site as good, and actually, better than it was vefore the crew got her. I liked that treatment for sure! The people were very friendly and were dressed neatly in uniforms. Many neighbors commented on how well run the crews were. Most folks have had a bad experience or 2 to tell, but I tell you, this contractor operates well outside some of the typical stero-types we all have heard about. You will have trust of Todd Angelo Albin (he's Italian of course), the owner and his crews. To me, I knew my project was in good hands."

"Basement (approximately 1200 sq ft) was completed in year (2015). Finished basement comprised of 3 rooms and bathroom. We continue to have plumbing problems until this year. Initially a whistling noise in the pipes was said to be air in the pipes. After being told that the problem was air in the pipes and how to fix it, we tried to no avail to clear the problem. ABHI's plumber came out to observe and he informed us that a piece needed to be installed. Javier, the owner, told us that to repair the problem, we would have to pay more money but that he would split the cost with us. We contacted WSSC. They came out and adjusted something on the piping-free of charge. We contacted ABHI again with another plumbing issue at the installed commode which bubbled and made noises and gave off nauseous gassy fumes at the commode and bath tub when the washing machine was running. When speaking with Javier, we were told that the plumbing was inspected and passed and therefore the additional problems that we are experiencing would be an additional charge to repair. This hardly sounds like it should be the case when none of these problems existed prior to ABHI's plumber finishing the bathroom. Finally, Javier sent a plumber to our home to correct the problem this year and once the work was complete told the plumber to bill us for the work. This despite the fact that these problems only existed from the time ABHI completed the work. This is very unprofessional that Javier would approve work to be done on our home, without notifying us that the expense would be ours. Again, we only found out at the completion of the work what the cost was and that we were going to be asked to pay for it. The plumber still has not been paid in full. Additionally, communication was a continuous problem throughout the project which lasted approximately 5-6 months as opposed to the 2-3 months originally projected. The electrical, framing, drywall, and flooring were completed satisfactorily. Also, when we purchased items for the project (eg. bathroom vanity), Javier was willing to reduce our price by the budgeted allotment for the items since he did not have to make the purchases. All prospective clients: Be very cautious about this company because all fees may not be included in your given price if you experience similar problems after you have made final payment."

Used kiln dried fir wood as opposed to wet pine you typically purchase at the local home improvement stores. <br /> Double K also installed fire blocks (not in original scope of work) that were necessary to pass the local framing permit inspection. Neal was very helpful assisting me with my design concepts and provided solutions to some design flaws that did not occur to me until he pointed them out. I would like to also add the drywall contractor asked me who did the framing because he was very impressed with the workmanship. I would use Double K Contractors Inc. again.
