"We recently used AJ's Waterproofing Services to fix our water issues in our basement and we couldn't be happier with the job him and his team did. It was very apparent from our consultation with him that he is the ultimate professional. He spent over an hour and a half with us explaining the issues at hand in our basement and the different options we could go with to remedy the situation. It never once felt like he was out to oversell us or take advantage of us. We knew very quickly he was the man for our job. The day of the French drain install, he sent us multiple updates throughout the day. After they were done for the day, they thoroughly cleaned the area. There were no traces of dust and debris from where they dug up the concrete. We just had a major rain storm and we had no water in the basement. "In January of this year, my wife and I decided we needed to transform our finished basement to an inhabitable living area. That would require adding a bathroom and an egress window for â emergency escapeâ . We hired a contractor for the bathroom and began the research on egress windows. As we were anxious to move ahead ASAP, I began contacting companies that installed egress windows. We had a couple of reps come out, look at our basement, discuss the process and quote prices. Estimates ranged from $8000 to $12000. Most had 2 things in common. 1} They could not schedule the job until somewhere in May or June as â windowsâ wouldnâ t be available until then. 2) Any â finishingâ work (necessary sheet rock and trim) would be extra as they did not do that. In March, I happened upon a copy of a regional advertising magazine (Clipper) which came in our mail. In it was an advertisement for â Basement Gurusâ . Since we still hadnâ t made a commitment for the work, I gave them a call. After discussing the job with them, I came to conclusion to go with â Basement Gurusâ . There were five reasons why I made this decision. 1) It appeared to me, based on reviews, the company had a good reputation. 2) The fact that they had windows in stock. This would move job completion date up significantly over what I had been told by at least three other companies. 3) The price. 4) Excavation would be done manually eliminating the possibility of damage to my neighborâ s lawn. 5) Sheetrock and finishing included. Our egress window project (install/follow up sheetrock/trim) was completed on time. Three workers came to our home for the install. They completed the window in three days. Very efficient, professional. Our township inspector came out a few days later and said â all looked goodâ . Also, John the sheetrock/trim person told me he had done a number of egress finishes. He said this one, as opposed to some heâ d seen, looked really good. The sheetrock and trim was completed in one day. An egress window is a big job. They make alterations to your homeâ s foundation! All in all, Basement Gurus did an awesome job! We now have a really nice â livableâ basement adding significant value to our home. Basement Gurus gets my full recommendation! "We had 2 foundation cracks running from corner of basement window to the floor. Their recommendation was not to just fill in the cracks, as others suggested, but to also reinforce the structural integrity of the foundation with a solid steel plate bolted over the repaired crack. That approach made much more sense to me than the other recommendations I'd received. I hired them and they were onsite within 2 days and completed all work in a single day. We've since had excessive rain and the repairs have held up and the basement is still dry."

"I needed stucco repair work on an old chimney (and other spots). Grady was meticulous and thoughtful on what approaches and materials would work. Throughout the project they allocated sufficient time for each treatment to cure and inspected the work before proceeding to the next step. Grady started the project with no money down and only required ongoing payments for materials until the project was well underway. The final payment was due only after they did a final inspection. Total project cost was also below other bids."

"We had some issues with an old addition to house shifting. We found that the walls holding it had some damage and seemed to be crumbling.
 I had two firms come out to talk with me before Foundations Experts. One would not even look under the addition, said he had to come back. The other could not fit into the crawlspace and never came back. 
  Nicks guys were great. Went in took pictures asked questions and already knew the grounds from satellite photos. 
 They sent me a detailed report on what the issues were with all the photos. 
  During this time period they had been a lot of rain. My septic tank collapsed due to erosion and a broken pipe. Nick came out to take a look to make sure the house was safe since this is all connected to the addition. The septic tank was repaired. Nick gave me reports and advice on this in trying get insurance coverage even though the septic tank was repaired by another company.
 At this point the foundation work has been put on hold, because of the expense of the repairs to the septic tank. 
 Foundations Experts went way beyond what they had to do even though that got no work out of it at this time. 
 Nick said he will redo the proposals and take a look again when we are ready.

"Denis Dougherty of Philadelphia Brick & Stone Pointing worked over the weekend to fix the chimney that was causing leaks on rainy days and he fixed some sagging bricks. I was away when he worked on them but everything was fixed when I came back. It's been a few months now and still no leaks even with heavy rain."

"MCG Construction did an excellent job on repairing the foundation and walls of our garage. Great communication throughout the process. Very professional workmen and great quality work. Their quote and total price for the project was far less than another company that suggested completely demolishing the old garage and building a new one. The final price of MCG's garage work was less than what they estimated it would be, because after removing parts of the garage they discovered there was already a foundation that they could build upon instead of having to excavate and pour a new foundation. Overall a very good experience. I would definitely use them again."
