"J&R Chavez Landscaping, LLC did an incredible job repairing the grouting and sealing a large natural flagstone patio at our home. It was in very poor condition and when his team left it looked better than new! His team was also able to repair and rebuild the interior supports under the floor of the patio. The workmen were excellent, came on time and worked over three days 8-5 every day. They were courteous and highly skilled in stone work. The price was very reasonable as well."

"We could not be happier with the job Stoneman Construction and Landscaping did for us and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to install a patio, retaining wall, brick walkways, or brick stairs. Let us start by saying that we are very particular people and we are SO pleased with the work Stoneman has done for us. And to make it even more exciting, we did not know exactly what we wanted when requesting for quotes. In general, we wanted brick walkways connecting our front door to the sidewalk and to our driveway, a planter box in our front yard, and a patio in our side and back yards. But as far as design - we were at a loss. Alberto, Evelyn, and their team took our limited knowledge and easily filled in the gaps. The mid-range of three quotes we got, Stoneman's Alberto and Evelyn put us immediately at ease. He had a catalogue handy for us to see the types of pavers he recommended. As we did more research, we sent photos of a herringbone brick pattern for the walkways, patio/retaining wall styles, and timber boxes to finalize our contract. Evelyn always responded very quickly to our emails. Alberto gave us plenty of notice that we would need to wait about a month or so to get started. When it was time to begin construction, Alberto showed up with our photos in hand, and the Stoneman team was efficient and professional. It was a huge project with lots of moving pieces and they finished 95% of it in 5 days. At one point we didn't love the width of a step and asked for it to be widened. The widened step was done within a couple of hours and looks perfect. We had a few punch list items for them to come back and take care of, which they did timely with no need for followup. After we'd done the final walkthrough, told them how much we'd love it, and paid the final installment, we noticed a small gap after some dirt had settled. Alberto came back himself to make it right. Simply put, Stoneman delivered above and beyond what we expected. Alberto and his team patiently worked with our requests within reason. The final product is beautiful and added great value to our house and life. Thank you, Stoneman, Alberto, Evelyn, and your team!"

Flavio and his sons and excellent crew worked as true artisans to construct an exceedingly beautiful flagstone walk and patio in the courtyard to my home in Leisure World. The work was performed at the highest level of professionalism with careful attention to detail during the sales and specifications stage of the project and through every aspect of the installation. I was greatly impressed by the way each man on the crew approached the work -- each was a shining example of great customer service -- and the artisan who placed the stones was amazing. The work was performed exactly according to specifications, plus the extras they provided such as adding a discrete drainage pipe to pull away the condensate from my air conditioning system, and everything was done exactly according to the schedule we discussed. "We had a patio installed in our backyard. We met Bill from Sharper Cut at a home improvement show in Upper Marlboro. He was very professional from the beginning and scheduled a follow up meeting for us to come out and meet with him on that day. Before we had the meeting, he came out to the property to take pictures and see the layout. We had previously had a drawing which we sent him ahead of time. When we met with him, he had prepared several different options for a patio, including landscape. He listened intently to what we wanted and implemented it, including the seating wall, pillars and lights. He was very patient, showed the designs, modified them based on our questions and requests, and explained things very clearly. When there was a delay with a stone that we originally chose for the patio, he had us choose another stone to our liking, without making any adjustments to the price. The crew that did the work, showed up timely and were extremely professional. They would have been completed on time but got delayed because of rain storms that soaked the yard. However, as soon as it dried up they came out and finished the project. We are extremely pleased with the patio and all of our neighbors that come and see it, absolutely love it. I have recommended him to several of my neighbors and would encourage anyone looking for quality work to be done for them to consider Sharper Cut. They are awesome!!!!"

"Edamarie was very knowledgeable and professional in her advice regarding the correction of these problems. She incorporated much of the correctly done work by that company in her planning. She also maintained the “natural feel” we had established in the previous landscaping work. Backyard Bounty’s Stonemason was also extremely professional and helpful in giving us advice. The quality of his team’s work and of his craftsmanship were extremely high. In addition, Edamarie worked with us in using environmentally sound erosion control solutions on a steep slope beside our driveway in addition to the steep Backyard beds with the same issues. These included firstly the use of various native plants and natural rocks in the beds. Then secondly, the construction of a large and long, beautiful natural stone retaining wall, which gently graduated downwards in height to match the the height of the bank behind it and the slope of the driveway. We were so pleased with the results, that we asked Backyard Bounty to return in 2014 in order to construct two further natural stone walls, re-construct parts of a dry rock wall and to create a long, meandering river stone swale leading all the way down one side of our home from the slope in our back yard, to a dry well (invisible to the eye), in the front yard. This not only solved drainage problems but was aesthetically beautiful. This work was all kept within our budget and made even more cost-effective by BB preserving the best of the previous company’s work and re-utilizing the materials from the work that had to be re-designed."

"We worked with Tony. Carlos was the crew supervisor for the job. They excavated approx. 2,400 sq. ft. of gravel driveway, added leafgro and topsoil, and installed sod. Also removed 6 fence posts. The results were simply terrific. Beyond expectations. In 4 1/2 hours this new beautiful lawn area, with perfect contours and drainage was created. We worked closely with the crew to tweek the design as the work progressed. Hometown Landscape is highly recommended. They were the low bid price - by a lot."

"Mairtin is a Stone artist. The job was to reface a brick fireplace with stone veneer and install an owner provided reclaimed wood mantel. Before choosing Mairtin, I interviewed a number of other local area Masons.
