"I can't say enough GOOD things about Powerhouse - but I'll try! Please read this lengthy, but carefully crafted review of this team and the work that they did for me - especially if you are a woman on your own and looking for honesty and integrity as a prime requirement in a construction company. Powerhouse could be your team! They are: professional, personable, precise, perfectionistic, proficient, punctual, and pragmatic. I dreamed of a remodeled kitchen in my old farmhouse for at least a decade and had talked with several other contractors who either couldn't or wouldn't share the ideas that I had for the space - particularly at the budget I had set for the work. After one meeting, I knew that JD and Clayton had caught my vision and were ready to run with it. They also proved ABLE to complete anything I requested - often beyond my expectations. I felt that this father and his two sons treated my project as if it was their own kitchen - and included me as an integral part of the team for planning and decision making at every step. They heard and respected my ideas and offered many great suggestions beyond what I had considered., I feel that this was a true collaboration and the Powerhouse goal was that I was satisfied with the end result and that they were satisfied that they did the best work possible! The kitchen is fabulous and I don't know what I love most about it. From the newly leveled floor, to improved insulation and electrics, to raising the ceiling to the rafters, to combining two small boxy rooms into one huge and functional space, to repurposing the 50 year old solid wood cabinets, to adding a super pantry wall - everything was done to perfection! Truly a floor-to-ceiling-and behind the walls remodel that was completed within the price that we had agreed upon - no surprises or shocks! I don't think that there is anything that Powerhouse can't do and do very well. Certified electricians, master carpentry, expert tile work, creative fabrication of pantry doors....they excelled at all of this. Additionally, these men were a pleasure to have in my home - a real bonus when doing a project of this intensity (of time, money and decisions). They exhibit a strong work ethic, share great senses of humor, set and achieve high standards for quality of work, are never idle, cleaned up the workspace every day, and were always open to sharing ideas and explaining procedures. They get along well with each other - no bickering, no bad language, no dark or moody days! In my opinion, Powerhouse Construction and Electrical is simply the BEST group that I've ever worked with and I consider it a blessing that I found them! As I look to the future. I wouldn't consider any other company with whom to entrust my home projects ! These are "my guys" from now on!"

"Krain Construction did an awesome job putting a deck on our cottage. Brain and the whole crew were great to work with. They were very friendly and made a deck that was just what we ordered. The work was done on time as promised and to a high level of workmanship. I will be asking Krain Construction to do more work in the future...highly recommended!!!"

I needed my basement renovated ASAP and Mr. Anthony met with me in a timely manner explaining in great detail the work he would perform and how pleased I would be! "Kitchen was old and in terrible shape when we bought the house. Craftspayne was timely and very helpful when it came To the redesign. They cleaned their area everyday before leaving and were always professional. Kitchen turned out beautiful They even added more Counter space! Love my island! "I had bids from 3 kitchen and bath renovators and BKG came in far below the other businesses. I read good reviews about them so I decided to hire them. My design specialist was Terra Brubaker in the South Hills showroom. She was extremely helpful with choosing the cabinets and quartz countertops. She spent quite a bit of time with me through the process by answering questions about installation and appliance purchases. Installation went smoothly however there were a few minor things that needed adjusting after install so Terra made sure everything was perfect and sent the installers back to the house. I would highly recommend using BKG. The price and the product is one of the best in the Pittsburgh area. Thank you BKG! I have before and after pictures of my kitchen in the review."

"In a nutshell, Dave did a great job and was great to work with. I needed a variety of work done for a home that was being prepared to sell and Dave was able to handle them all. These tasks included: drywall patching/repair, interior painting, exterior painting (shutters, doors, foundation), power washing (deck & siding), toilet and shower repairs, door jamb and window sash repairs...and probably others that I'm forgetting. Communication was always timely and informative, which was nice because we wanted to get this house on the market quickly. Providing great value to his customers seems like a priority of Dave's, which I greatly appreciated during this process. When walking through the house and discussing the work needed, Dave offered multiple suggestions on how to perform the work. Many of his suggestions were simple in nature (not unnecessarily complicated) and did not involve extra equipment, time, resources, etc that would increase the cost. I would not hesitate to contact Dave in the future for any work, and I would recommend his services to anyone."
